Stormcloud trotted into the cave after a hard day of work. He wasn't used to having scouting duty all day but he had to do it today. An unknown illness was spreading like wildfire all throughout the Plains and about half of his clan had it. Therefore since he seemed to be immune to the illness as was the rest of the family, he got to scout all day. All the other scouters were the first to catch the disease and still had it. Luckily it hadn't killed anyone yet, it just made them extremely ill is all. He just hoped that his family wouldn't catch it.
Stormcloud loved his family dearly and if one of them got sick it would be hard, especially if it was one of the cubs. His cubs were tough ones when it came to everything but it was incredibly difficult on he and his mate to look after the little ones when they were sick because then they not only had to take care of their regular duties but they also had to monitor the cubs. Sure, they could always ask one of the other Saighs in the clan to take care of them but Stormcloud didn't want to be a hindrance on others. Plus, it was a great time for he and his mate to bond with the cubs.

Shahelda was curled up at the back of the den, she wasn't allowed anywhere near the entrance for fear she'd get sick, because considering how badly it effected everyone else, the epidimic would probably kill the already sickly cub. "Hi Daddy..." She said in a weak voice, as she lifted her head slightly to look at him, "Are the sick Saigh any better today?"
She moved slowly to her paws, her legs shaking in the effort, today was obviously not one of her good days, she took a few wobbly steps toward her father, before a coughing fit unbalanced her, and she fell back to the hard ground.
