For every male born to the red deer, three females are born. It's common for males to collect females who serve as their exclusive mates and mothers to their young. Until another male overpowers them, the males keep their females for life.
- Females can join a male's harem on their own free well. However- if another male has eyes for the same female, he can challenge her stag of choice for her ownership.
- Males can take a female into their harem by force. That is, until, another male defeats him.
To register your harem:
- Create a thread for each individual stag. This will help us keep up with our harem listing a little better. The first post should be where you keep track of that stag and his current harem.
- The harem registration threads are where challenges and harem offers are made.
- There's no official template for how you run your harem threads, just as long as we can clearly see which hinds are claimed. :3
