As you reach the long winding dirt road past the debris and barricade in the farmland, you reach the entrance of the Nishimora forests. There seems to be a simple wood and stone barricade with a large " DO NOT ENTER" sign nailed to it. The barricade seems simple to get by and doesn't really seem to be doing much aside from keeping the monsters that are in the forests at bay, though why they don't just jump over the barricade escapes you. Perhaps upon further inspection you realize there are many enchantments and seals on the barrier which protect what is left of the Farmlands from what is inside the forest.
If you decide to simply climb over the barricade, the forest itself is dense and regardless of the time of year seems to thrive even if the types of trees inside would not. Though the farther you get away from the farmlands the more dense and thriving the forest seems, growth and vegetation seem to want to climb up towards the mountain and animals flock towards the two caves that seem to be inside the mountain.
As dangerous it is to venture out inside the forest, the prospect of foraging could out weigh the danger. Many different sorts of medicinal herbs grow wildly inside the forest, regardless of what you pick the next day upon your return the different sorts of herbs and roots reappear without fault.
