Scars-of-an-Undead Oh, and I didn't know there was a special edition for the PC! What's it come with that makes it so different? surprised Official Fallout Website Additionally, we are also pleased to announce that Fallout 3 Game of the Year edition (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC) will be available at retail on Tuesday, October 13th. The Game of the Year edition includes Fallout 3 and all five DLCs. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions will retail for $59.99 and the Games for Windows version will be available for $49.99. So basically it's the same game + the DLC; I have it for the 360 now so I'm getting the PC version primarily so I can G.E.C.K. around with it. If I'm feeling ambitious I'm going to try to build a new Vault and Town. ninja

Well, the inspiration is a weird one.
You see, I live in the DC area... was going to my roomie's sister's house in Maryland and somewhere along the way we passed a huge storage lot for school buses. I was grumbly because "I'd rather be playing Fallout 3" and saw those buses and thought... "OMG BUS FORT!"
So the notion is to make a wall out of tons of school buses around a settlement, probably a school building of some sort. The buses would have to be modified so they wouldn't explode... but I think it can be done. ninja

If you live near the DC area... maybe you can recreate your hometown into Fallout and see how it looks after a post-apocalyptic environment! :0 It'd be neat to travel to your friend's home only to discover it's covered with Raiders O_o

Well, I'm in the Manassas area; it's not quite on the Fallout 3 map, as far as I can tell.
In a few weeks we're hoping to take a weekend and do a "Fallout 3 tour" of DC itself with a few of our geek friends. I'm hoping to get or make a good map of the Fallout 3 DC area so we can be sure to hit up our favorite spots. (lol Jefferson Memorial) ninja
What I'd really like to do is get a camera and take pictures of various places in DC, and then match them up with screencaps from the game. xd

That would be awesome! surprised
I actually went to DC over the summer with my family, and my brother and I were pointing out thinks like "Hey! There's the Lincoln Memorial! : D He lost his head in the game! hurhurhur! :B " We must've looked pretty stupid pointing things out like that xp Hope you do match up the screenshots though, cause that sounds like a neat little project to create =)

Yup.
Speaking of fallout pics, I wonder if my roomie still has that awful freakout that I ran into a while back.
It was pretty much the "pieces" of an exploded head, still assembled, floating above a dead body. The eyeballs, jawbone, bits of brain and skull, all fitting together, floating in the middle of the air. It was awful/some.

Oh wow. XD There was one glitch where I killed a Centaur, and it's body stretched and clinged itself to a wall. And then it started having a seizure and the body was spazzing and flailing while still being stuck to the wall .___.|||
I'm glad Fallout has amusing glitches instead of "pain-in-the-a**" ones.

My roomie doublecrossed Mister Crowley in the "You Gotta Shoot 'em in the Head" quest and took the armor for himself ... and left Crowley alive.
Crowley eventually tracked him to his Megaton House and ambused him inside it. Since my roomie is like, pretty much kickass, and Crowley is pretty pathe'ic for a ghoul, his Megaton House had a dead ghoul in it for a while. He continued playing, but when he next came back to his house, the Crowley Corpse had a massive freakout, helicoptering and distorting and the like, he was so disturbed that he reverted to a previous save and managed to get Crowley to find him elsewhere to avoid having him stuck in his house again. whee
But me? I usually get glitches like twitching dead Brahmin legs or super mutants that half fall through the floor and look like they're uh, dry-humping the dirt. gonk
