The title says it, there is nothing I have said nor can do to make her support it. I have tried almost everything. ******** EVERYTHING. My head is about to explode.

why is it that big of a deal to some people? God damn, its less harmful then alcohol and tobacco (almost with them put together)

So. What the ******** me some advice fellow stoners (those of you who are)

If she feels the same way about you she should be able understand and respect your choice. I was with my husband for about 1 and 1/2 years or so before I started smoking it too. Its not like he was doing any other drugs or getting drunk all the time, its just pot, the worst that can happen is you'll get tired or hungry. The only time I ever had a problem with him smoking was when he let it get in the way of his priorities and when that happened it was something we talked about and fixed and there hasn't been a problem with the subject of weed since. I really don't understand peoples big problem with it. Its a natural product, not like meth or any of that other man made crap that some idiots do. My guese is those who think its so horrible are very closed minded people who have never tried it before.

I'm wowzored by your post, i completely agree, although she says she is "against it". Its alright with me, but.. still hard for me to understand.

Fact:
She is scolded by misinformation and government propaganda.

Ask her why she objects to it.

Then, one at a time, discuss each of her points -- for example, if she says "it's bad for your health," discuss that. Delve into some of the studies (the Library sub-forum can help you get started; there are more articles I need to include, of course, but you'll find some of the ones there to be helpful), and discuss the relevant points -- remember that news media will spin results one way or another, so focus on the factual results of the study, not the prose of the article itself.

If her objection is based in legal issues, then your response will necessarily depend on what state you live in. Head to NORML to look up your state's marijuana laws as well as information about legalization efforts in your region.

As Jinx said, it's up to her to respect your choice -- but I want to point out that stating your case to her by telling her she's brainwashed by government propaganda is pretty condescending, and won't get you very far. In other words, REMEMBER that the disagreement is about pot, not who's better-informed. ^_~

Get her to read more up on it, show her some videos, you know, don't be rude about it towards her or act like you're trying to make her. Just make sure she understands the false information she may have been told and prehaps from hearing true facts about the plant she will change her mind?

It's honestly very hard to date someone who doesn't approve...thank god my boyfriend is a stoner too
I mean it wouldn't bother me if not, but it's annoying to keep two different lives so to speak I think you should talk to her about it, is she says she's ok with it fine, cool, but if she's not you have three options,
End it because if she's not ok with it it usually won't work,
Two stop smoking (no)
or three sneak it, which is quite hard but manageable
but also a big hassle
you have to talk to her first though.

Make cannabutter and somehow sneak it to her food supply, If she says she feels good, thumbs up, no side effects. And a more potent high....
I'd be so jealous of her, if only someone would secretly give me cannabutter..... But i'd know after 30min. haha.

EDIT: LOL and if you tell her she might freak out. "YOUR KILLING MY BRAINCELLS, NOW I'M NEVER GONNA BE FERTILE AGAIN!!!! OMG OMG GET IT OUT GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD!!!...."
No offense, but would be hilarious. Video tape it.

P.s. I'm such an a*****e that I would blatantly smoke around her and little by little explain to her the propaganda spread by alcohol companies even though alcohol is literally a poison. Most people don't realize this and is a great starting point to distrust the government.

Theres an attempt of a government who only wants absolute control. Yet now its perfectly ok to drink but not ok to smoke even though Cannabis was subject to the same propaganda, sickening.....
