At about 4 o'clock this morning, I found out that my grandfather died. While I'm not a huge member here, I do know that people talk to me on AIM and through PMs. I figured I should let you know that while I don't know funeral arrangments now, I may not be here for a few days. I've been at loss for words since I heard the annoucement a few weeks ago that things were not going well for him and now I'm sort of numb. I don't want to get too much into it but please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Do what you got to do, man. No one's going to bug out over it. Take care of yourself and come back when you're ready.

Grandparents are so hard to loose. Even in that, like pets, they seem socially there to teach us about death...the problem is they tend to pass on after we already understand too much.
I've a grandmother teetering on the brink, and frankly she's a woman I really don't see me making peace with before the end. I can't imagine how painfull it's going to be when the grandparents who've really cared for me shuffle off the mortal coil.
I remember when a friend of mine heard her grandmother died and she cried so much she let candle-wax melt into her favorite big red wig. I can't offer to pray for you, but I can remember a wig full of wax and that feels pertinent.
