Any thoughts on the game, post 'em. I know it comes out tomorrow but I'm so impatient and anxious to play this game that i probably won't get any sleep tonight. The only disappointing Halo game i think is Halo Wars, Since i personally get bored of strategy games pretty fast and all the previews of ODST show they haven't changed much gameplay, And thats the way I was hoping for.

*Sigh*
I'm gonna do a review of all three games.
Halo 1: Repetitive gameplay, however it was unique, intuitive, and revived the FPS genre.
halo 2: Repetitive gameplay, boring storyline, but decent online play
Halo 3: Repetitive gameplay, saw through all of the plot twists, online play was pathetic compared to the second one. Worst of all three games.
ODST: Just a way for the franchise to make more cash off of an already dead corpser that they plabn on raping until it eventually starts squeezing money out of it's numerousw orrifices after it's inevitable gangrape at the hands of Microsoft and Bill Gates.
And...Uhh...Halo wars was the only game in the series that actually pissed me off so much I threw the game to the floor, balanced it against a wall, and brough a mallet to it.
See the Zero Punctuation review of it, the exact same thing that happened to me happened to him.

I didn't enjoy Halo all the much and I really didn't see what the big deal was once I had played it (I started with Halo 3 and worked backwards) I was all like "WTF? Is that it? *Starts playing GoW) but I'm gonna give ODST a chance though cos I enjoyed the Live-Action trailer. Hopefully, it won't be a disappointment.

to be honest i think ODST gave the halo franchise what it needed, a good more tactically based game where you'r not completely invincible,i've played it for about 2-3 hours, its harder than the other halo games but over all it's still a good game.

Repetitive game play yes. But with game play like that, at least in my opinion, I would rather not change too much. ODST definitely has one of the best campaigns, if not the best. Mostly since it is way more challenging and tactical. Online multiplayer does get boring after a while. Firefight is just as addicting As Horde on Gears. Only better with Halo game play. I think we can all still agreee that Halo Wars was s**t though.
One thing that was pretty bad about ODST, it costs $60 when it doesn't have as much content as a $60 game should. Though im no programmer and making ODST might have been nerve wracking enough that they felt they deserved a little extra. As usual, if you don't like Halo, You won't like this game much. Repetitive but to me its a classic and i would definitely rather have no big changes in game play. But a difficulty harder than legendary would be nice.

Its looks pretty good, though I'm not rushing out to buy it. I liked the Halo story, but the shooting wasn't always to my liking, and the multiplayer is just broken.
Also, just as a little bonus, the live action ODST trailer is why there needs to be a Halo movie.....

Haratio TaFotter Also, just as a little bonus, the live action ODST trailer is why there needs to be a Halo movie..... Only if Uwe Boll is not allowed within 25 miles of the film sites. stare I play games more for story than anything else. If it has a solid plot, then I will run with it. In that respect, Halo is awesome. It's not 100% original, sure, but it is still a very solid story and it works together with a lot less gaps than other games. (Don't even get me started on "Darkest of Days...") That being said, I will likely buy it since I heard that it is very much story driven. And I like stealth gameplay, so that is just a plus.

I mean I like Halo, I like anime, so what wouldn't there be to my liking? I thought the same thing about the Highlander anime, and....well, it wasn't so great.
