Marbles and Jacks

I say I’m sugar and spice
Because I’m a girl
I’ll put on my pretty dress
And mommy’s white pearls

You like Batman and Robin
Playing in the dirt
Don’t believe in birds and bees
Run ‘round with no shirt!

You’re Jack and I’m Jill
Shakers of salt and pepper
We’re peas and carrots
‘Cause we belong together

Just call me your Juliet
Take me far away
We’ll be gone with the wind
You, me…everyday

I’m the marble, you the jack
Bright under the sky
Forever on the playground
You can’t say good-bye.

You’re Jack and I’m Jill
Shakers of salt and pepper
We’re peas and carrots
‘Cause we belong together.
