I am for a Obama.
Ok, if we were debating this in real life, I would own you all, its just harder to express myself over the net.
People give him so much flak. I am pissed at alot of my friends cause some of them hate him cause hes black.
Just because we live in Michigan does not mean all black people are goin' to through dubs on cars, Obama is not goin' to start dub day.
Ok, now onto the serious debat. Obama has been doin' alot for our country so far and alot of people are bashing him for his hard work. His first 100 days in office people were already cursing his name cause our country wasnt fixed yet. Serioiusly? Roman wasnt build in a day, and it was courpted and enslaved by an overdrawn economy.
It angers me to see people say "Obama is too young to run this country!" So was JFK and he did so much for our country, but his term was cut due to be assassinated. But people are smart, cause honestly, if Obama was to be assassinated, there would be a race war like none other, and we know it.
In his campain, Obama stated that it would take "All of us" to rebuild this country. Right after his campaign and his entry into the whitehouse. People laid back and said "Ok Mr Obama fix us!" I got this from family and friends. Everyone sitting back and saying "he's the new President, he should be able to fix the entire country!" What kinda ******** s**t is that!
How can we expect ONE MAN to fix this entire country? By himself? Most people have an issue cleaning their own house, and you expect one man to please an entire COUNTRY!
Ill save teh rest of my arguement for any retaliators.

Hmm, to make you have fun I will take the opposite side if the argument. Remember that secretly I am for Obama.
I completely disagree! What exactly has our new President done for the country I ask you? NOTHING!!! He just dropped by my campus and made a speech telling us that the education system and the financial aid system will be much less flawed in ten years. He makes promises he cannot keep!

Also, he as done alot for us! He is making plans and bills that could even our country back out allowing us to rebuild onto what we have and remake our country to its prime.
And if he did drop by your campus you are totaly lucky to have met him!
And if we do all work together, our educationand financial disposition will be fixed asap

Okay, I really can't retaliate against anything because I've been for Obama since the get go and his campaign, BUT his plans don't involve everyone. Some believe that few of his plans have not been entirely thought through and therefore don't match up to everyone else's lives. Some of his plans will actually worsen lives for many while others get better.
BUT, I have my own retaliation to those who say what a few I know said above, "Things DO take time." And you Exile said in his first post, Rome was not built in a day, nor did it take one man on his own to even consider building it. To be a success everyone must help each other. Without being involved, then how can things get better. People can't say things are getting worse and such if they aren't doing anything to help themselves.
As for the Prez being black, I say ******** YEA!! It's about god-damned time! This generation is taking over bitchez, it's our country now.
My only problem with anything is, what about Congress and the Constitution? It clearly states many and multiple times that the people can overthrow their government, but can they really? Congress is the real big mama macho that brings the issues around here.
Uhm, this may start a bit of controversy right here, but seeing as this is a debate thread, I'm just gonna post it.

Frankly, I am for Obama because I agree with many of his ideals and personal beliefs as a liberal...but I would not want to be in his shoes. I applaud him for stepping into the career of a politician who made it to the big seat! If he cares to handle an entire nation that is his decision alone but I don't even want to harbor a single pinch of empathy and place myself in his shoes...it scares me to think about it.

School on Saturday? That really wouldn't help anyone, especially those in high school. Saturday is supposed to be day to give your brain a break and Sunday too. And Sunday is also used for religious purposes. I really don't see the point in school on Saturday. That would just take the social life away from people and they would get fed up with all of the work they have to do.
All in all I don't agree with that. People need a break from the work it takes to have an education. I am sure even college students wouldn't like to have school on Saturday either...and lets not forget! Teachers don't want to get up and teach on Saturday...they like to be away from their students at some point in time even if they love them to death! This idea just seems a bit illogical to me...

You know Demon that is a good question because I am in college as well. I still don't see how it would help anyone from kindergarten and above. School on Saturday would just ruin people's lives. We need breaks you know. Five days is already enough. Lol, I couldn't stand a year round school...either.
