For thousands of years each of the different levels of Hell have been ruled over by the Nine Kings of Hell.
Before each ascent to the thrown, the Princes of Hell need to be taught the proper ways to behave & how to rule their kingdoms & make sure that peace between Heaven & Hell remains in tact. It is not their Fathers though that teaches the Devils, rather the Nine are sent to Heaven to stay for a year to be taught by Eight of Heaven's top Angels.
Of course, none of the generations have ever taken to this well, but time & time again they submitted to the teachings & came out of it no longer the well, devilish devils they once were.
It is little surprise that this batch too is unwilling, but these Devil's were intending on fighting harder than any of the others ever had. Led by the eldest of the Devil's, Damien, they were determined on breaking these Angel's once & for all & ruling Hell the way they wished.
Will they be successful though, is the question? Or will the bend like all their ancestors?
