These are my two newest photos. Lemme know what you think please. And yes, I know the horizon is crooked on the sunset. I couldn't fix it.

Please don't post links. Use flickr or photobucket to host your photos and post the actual images in the thread. It makes it easier for us to critique them. Also your first link isn't working.

The second one is alright. The colours are really nice but your horizon is crooked and the composition is boring and flat. Try shooting from a different angle, like lay down on the ground, or aim your camera down or up by a more extreme angle instead of shooting straight ahead.

The first thing I notice when I see this picture is the beautiful colors. It seems like it is in a dream-like state and makes me smile. I think the reason why I don't frown and say, "Oh, it's another sunset photo..." is because you have something in the foreground. It gives the picture a lot more in-depth feeling.

The only thing that really bothers me is the grain in the water in front of you. D: Grain is like my #1 serious pet peeve of photography. XD Although, you had no way of preventing this by your own accord since it is mainly the cameras fault. smile

Ok, and here is MY personal preference in photography critic. We all have different color preferences! I would've made the dark colors even darker, and brightened up the sky a bit. I love contrast in my photos! I also like it better when sky photos have a bit of a heavenly look, haha.

But if the camera was without proper light and you had no way of obtaining light, and the camera had no settings to get light. ? XD I know you can set most cameras to a larger f-stop, but I didn't think the person was using a DSLR camera. Most digitals don't have that kind of settings. o_o
I am familiar enough with my own camera to prevent grain, but I am very unfamiliar with the camera this person is wielding.
