 Saito came from the Captain commander's office and found his way into the training area. A vast space with plenty of room to move about and practice all sorts of fighting. However Saito only needed the spot he was standing to practice right now. He took off his sword from his back and layed it on the ground. He sat down next to it and closed his eyes taking deep breaths. This was a training method he used to practice against Hayabusa, the spirit of his zanpakuto.
The place they meet at is the inner mind of Saito.
"Hey there! You seem quite at peace. I thought you might get all flustered with all the stuff happening." A playful voice said from behind Saito. Saito opened his eyes and was in his inner mind looked like an open field of grass and other small plants. A vast blue sky stretched across the space above them with no sun in sight but a blue sky.
The voice was Hayabusa, a harpie spirit with grey and white feathered wings. A dress that looked like feathers covered her curvy body. Despite having such a child looking face she was built like an adult. Big red eyes glared happily at Saito. Her white hair stopped at her shoulders and like Saito's hair it went every which way not seeming to settle in one spot.
"Well you know how I felt with what happened. But the way I see it I'm the lieutenant now and though it hurts still knowing Hiryu is gone I gotta press on. I have people relying on me I got you and all of squad two to look after." Saito said smiling. 
"Hey meanie I can take care of myself! We help each other. Now let's start playing already!" Hayabusa said. She was making a fake pout but she knew what Saito meant and was happy to hear he was well. After all his inner mind was at peace so he was telling the truth.
"Well then training time it is what should we go over this time?" Saito felt something off in the disstance though. Hayabusa reacted to it as well turning around and looking to see what it was.
"It's not from in here someone elsewhere is letting off alot of rieatsu. It feels like they're jumping from one worl to another." Hayabusa commented. With that said Saito opened his eyes from his actual body picked up the sword and went to investigate. If it was jumping worlds it may be a hallow.

Saito made it back from the hospital and immediatly placed his zapakuto in front of him. He sat on the ground and started to breath differently. Slow calm meditation like breaths escaped the lips of the lieutenant. It was harder to meet with Haybusa this time she was just about gone from the sword. Saito would have to move quick. Saito had been in a state of not moving for only five minutes until his eyes shot open. He was breathing hard and hunched over a bit from shock.
Hayabusa was standing over the zanpakuto looking down at Saito. A child like giggle escaped her lips.
"Hey there silly! I can see that I'm finally free and it looks like I can do what I want..... Oh I know! Why don't I beat you up a bit like those other captains! I don't want you fallowing me and figuering out everything already." Hayabusa said.
"Oh, fight me you say? You know I can't raise my hand to a lovely lady." Saito said sarcastically. He simply picked up his zanpakuto which was nothing more than a sword now. It was odd not having the reassurance of Hayabusa being there but it would have to do.
Hayabusa held up her right arm and opened her palm. A wind gathered around it and a blade appeared. It was a small arm blade used for assasinations, also the shikai release of the zanpakuto Saito carried.
The fight began shortly after that. It was a series of blurs where the two were only visible when they stopped during attack. Sparks from blades clashing and the sound of metal hitting metal rang through the fields.

Saito and Hayabusa exchanged blows at lightning speeds catching the attention of the other shinigami around squad two's barracks. The fight went from the open fields to the building where squad 2 members met and place of the captain's office. The battle came to a halt and the two were staring each other down from opposite ends of the roof.
"Teehee! You're rather good as always just like when we train!" Hayabusa exclaimed.
Saito didn't say anything back he was focused on the battle. His usual calm nature went to a serious and merciless tone. He flipped the sword around in his hand so the broad side of the blade was exactly parallel to his forearm. He went to dash but stopped short for some reason.
A blade of wins cut through the roof right where Saito was about to dash.
"Oh I'm not gonna play with just a blade like we normally do. I'm gonna go all out on you this time around I really can't have you tracking me. By the way you're caught in my trap!" Hayabusa said.
Saito saw she was right. He could hear the razor sharp wind swirling around him.
"Bye!" Hayabusa said. She swung the blade in a vertical motion and a large blade of wind cut through the roof to Saito. Saito could only move slightly enough to avoid fatal injuries. However his left arm was cleanly severed. The force made him fall backwards off the roof. While he fell he pulled a needle and tube of liquid out with the arm he had left over. He moved fast and injected the liquid into his left shoulder just before he hit the ground
When he hit the ground he landed on his back causing the ground to crumble under him. He caughed up some blood from the impact. Where his left arm once was a new arm sprouted back out. The pain from that caused Saito to cringe from the pain. The stuff he enjected into his arm was a growth formula from the science department meant for growing back lost apentages. Saito's vision was blurry as he struggled to get up forcing himself to stay conscious. When he squinted up at the roof there was no sign of Hayabusa anywhere. ((I know it's long sorry I wanted to get this all done in one post they won't always be this long! sweatdrop ))

(OOC: no no no no no no no no no this is EXACTLY what people need to be doing. trust me if its anything i've learned about rp'ing its that long posts (that is long posts that are COHERENT and not just babbling) are excellent as its the sign that you actually know what youre doing and how to say it. short posts are discouraged usually and in some rp's its actually a rule that all posts have to be a certain length (like > 3 sentences or something idk really an actual quantitative value that'd be something to ask Valcazar when he gets back) . granted i know they all cant be like a page long but somewhere in the ballpark of a paragraph or two would abso-freakin-lutely rock my socks. great job mrgreen )

((Good To know. I got yelled at for typing too much in an RP thread not too long ago. Since then I've tried to keep them down some. Next time I won't hold back then.)) Saito struggled too much to sit up and almost blacked out again. The newly constructed arm didn't hurt anymore but the fall did some internal damages that he might need to look at. The razor winds that were around him thankfully were a distraction the blade Saito took head on was the only attack meant to harm him. If Hayabusa wanted to kill Saito at that moment he would be cut up into pieces by now.
Saito fell to his back once again and let out a pained sigh. For some reason his arms felt really heavy and now unresponsive. He lay there for a moment and he finally realized he was surrounded by shinigami. Most were from his squad but a few from others as well. He must've literally lost his senses for a moment because sound just came back to him. He could hear the bustling and shouting of those around him. It was really loud at first making Saito want to cover his ears.
Squad four officers were gathering to take him onto a stretcher and bring him to get medical attention.
"I'm fine no worries.... Well not completley fine. I don't really need to go anywhere..... But if you guys want to patch me up real fast here that would be fine I can tell you what's wrong with me as well if it helps. I can feel something in my back is messed up which is why my arms can hardly move. And I might need a wet cloth or something to wipe the blood away. Other than that I'm just dandy." Saito explained.
The officers from squad four carefully rolled Saito to his side and began to work on his back immediatly. They used rieatsu to repair his back since it seemed only muscle damage was done. It was fortunate that no further was done. He fell from a good hieght that would break a person's bones, but a shinigami has a sturdy body. Still a bit shakey and sore Saito was able to move again.
"Well I guess I got to report this now." Saito said to himself. He picked up his zanpakuto and looked at it briefly. It was void of life and feeling but his sword was all he had to stop this whatever it was going on. Saito thanked the squad four members and left from there. The other officers going back to thier own buisness once again.
