We all know that many people have mixed feelings about this store.
I experience pure happiness when I find Lip Service stuff in there.
And I have found a decent share of cyber-type clothes there.
Of course, I've recently been leaning towards buying more things online and such.
I tend to stay away from HT. (Eww)
So, what do you think of Hot Topic?
Love it?
Hate it?
Could care less?

It has a few decent things in there. It all kinda depends on how you ear it really, and what you add to it to make your outfit. I can think of several basic cyber-like outfits, its just the accessories that help make the outfit.
They used to have these super awesome platform boots with buckles, and maybe they still have something similar, but they dont have those particular boots anymore, i should've gotten them when I had the chance ><;;;;
Extensions or makeups n stuff are okay, but sometimes its just so cheap and bad, you'd be better off at walmart >_>;;;;

LOL I just bought black & white yarn for cheap, black electrical tape (thick stuff), white tights, eyelashes, body art gem things, scissors, and black eyeliner xD
almost sounds like nothing to some people but I'm sure a few if not evryone can guess teh yarn is for dreads/hair/falls and all that... my tape i'll just cut up and stick to meh tights and arms *w* borrowing dad's spiked platforms also~ got a few feathers that I'll make into points and add to my face, also a few body art gem things i'll stick to meh face also. just need to tape a 'skirt' also over my white tights and be creative with a top and I have most of my outfit~ all from walmart for 20 ish bucks xDDD with a few things my parents kept from the 70s and 80s like studded belts, hand cuffs attatched to belts, arm bands, wrist bands... a studded collar with an nonremovable leash 0.o
and of course accessories... my outfit doesnt really look 'cyber' per say, i suppose its more goth with an attitude or very punkish but it'll have that aura of otherwordlyness at least, when I'm done with it... but still im giddy since wednesday i get to wear it to school without getting in trouble *w* (homecoming week is jawesome)
walmart is jawesome for the right type of thing.. you just gotta know what you want @.@ and at least have dsome sort of top and accessories already picked out.. other than that use tape, glue, and yarn to make a whole new outfit xD
i suppose you dont have to go to Manic Panic or Hot Topic or the ripped off prices of the almost-wannabe-if-you-wear-it-correctly Takuya Angel...

Ehh... As far as in person stores go, Hot Topic is the only place that really only sells alternative wear. But again it depends on the store. There are 5 or 6 different hot topics all within an half an hour of my house. Certain ones have better gear than others. Some have a ton of emo s**t, some have a ton of Eminem/Barbie/retro cartoon/random s**t. It really just depends on which one I go to. And it also depends on what time of the year I go. Sometimes if I'm really really lucky I find a pair of old school tripps instead of the stupid new school skinny jean tripps. =/
But honestly I prefer to shop at thrift stores. I find the coolest s**t there, even if most of the time I have to mod it and I really have to dig and dig to find decent s**t. But every now and then I find something epic. ^_^
I found 3 mini dread falls there for $2 a piece there yesterday. 2 red/black. 1 purple/black. I squealed like a little school girl. Don't believe that's possible? Ask my boyfriend. He was more surprised that all the other people who turned and stared lol.
