Oh great, Michael Moore just had to give his film a title that refers to capitalism in a pejorative way. The conservatives and libertarians will interpret this as proof that he, and American liberals, are "socialist" and anti-capitalist. stare

Wrong! Mass media is perhaps the most powerful way to get a message out. I think this movie is a good thing.

I doubt Moore is going to criticize the entire system of capitalism and private enterprise, it will likely just be a critical stance on corporate influence and lobbyists in the Federal government and a message for increased regulations. It's not an uncommon view already for a significant number of liberal Americans, but by giving it an "anti-capitalist" feel, it can be misinterpreted as a critique of capitalism itself by conservatives and uneducated liberals who might go around calling themselves socialist when they are in fact proponents of welfare capitalism or social market economies.

Wait, you guys are fans of Michael Moore?

Even when I was a commie I couldn't stand him, this will be another one of his hypocritical and recycled documentaries using his hypocritical and recycled methods and the result will be a tremendously biased, one-sided and fox-news of the left styled media production.

I'd rather spend my money on fascist parties than fund that idiots waste of my time. If I watch it it will be pirated.

Do I honestly sound like a fan of Michael Moore?
His documentaries aren't very objective, but they are entertaining and still somewhat informative to watch. He is however a liberal (just like you Curse! ), not a socialist at all. xd

I'm now thinking we should make a ban on advertising Michael Moore films...

More than just iRage's complaints, which are perfectly valid in this case, is the fact that we don't want to send the wrong message by associating ourselves with liberal douchebaggery like this.

Moore is a d**k, and is rather right-wing. He has nothing in common with us, and rather than celebrate his s**t, we should be tearing it to pieces for being a half-arsed piece of s**t that refuses to actually advance beyond capitalism or accept the necessity of proletarian revolution and the internationally planned economy.

Oh Im sorry I just thought that posting an ad for a movie that appears to be questioning capitalism's practicality would be a good talking point.

I suppose not...

While I think some of his movies are good and I think he's a pretty entertaining guy, I don't see why we can't have a discussion on this film. It actually looks pretty good.

Like his movie Sicko. It was all about healthcare reform. Michael Moore's a pretty cool guy. Eh goes to Cuba, praises their healthcare system, and doesn't afraid of anything.

Seriously though, I think everyone's being a bit too harsh on this subject. We may not agree with his political background, but the movie itself looks interesting.

The problem isn't discussion, but your attitude toward it.
Remember: Bernstein was in favour of 'socialism', too.
