Quote:
One hundred and thirty-two years ago, a wizard set out from one of the many ports of the Gem isles. To investigate the strange anomaly that had suddenly occurred in the middle of the sea. A strange whirlpool had been rumored to have began growing in size so that it's bulk was causing problems with the fishermen who spent weeks at a time fishing far from the cluster of islands to catch the rare fish that made their homes there.
Halfway to the massive whirlpool, a violent storm suddenly struck the ship he was in, in the confusion that happened during that time, for the storm was indeed unnatural. Glardrill was thrown overboard. When to his surprise he awoke on a sunlit beach the next morning, he was ecstatic, he had made the discovery of a life time. The continent of Glardenion!
-- Excerpt from the History of Glardenion.

The Diretoe Desert is a land of peril, filled with a tribe that's ranks consist of Ogre's, Orcs, Goblins, Kobalds, Gnolls, and if rumor has it a blue dragon. Where the desert ends is a little known settlement of mostly elves, and some humans, all worrying about the welfare of the woods and plains that mark the border between Diretoe Desert, and the Rift of Gladrill. They are devout followers of the gods of nature and balance that continually bless them with significant events to mark the changing points of their lives. But, as the god of the chief of the Diretoe clan grants Grshhon Elfslayer, a mighty artifact that will cause the very desert to begin to expand in size, the residents of Holavin's Dale, find themselves in a dire war the likes of which they haven't seen with their feud with the desert dwelling minions of evil.

You prepare for war in the once quite city of Hollydale.

Rules;
3.5 rule set, with a little bit of 1.0 and 2.0 mixed in, but not very much. (I'm bringin' back followers!)
bear with me. I am not that knowledgeable about 3.5, but I believe I know enough to try this.

Creating the character.
Fourth level is the starting level.
Usual gold rolled for starting, plus 1000.
4D6 reroll any ones, drop one, arrange as desired. For stats.
One +1 item of choice, as long as it is reasonable.
In addition, roll 8D100, 1D10 and list the results to me. (Results individual)

The game will meet when the players vote it is best to.
If you miss six games without valid reason, your character will die a horrible death in front of all of the other players.
If you are going to be absent, please notify me with the reason why, or what is said above will happen.

@ Imaginary squirrels, As you leave the Tower of Holavin, you get a great sense of being lost and confused.

(Does that mean we're starting, sortof, or are you just being funny)
PostPosted: Sun Oct 04, 2009 1:57 pm

Once everyone is finished, we will be starting, however, that will be about ten miles away from the tower, which you have to visit upon entering the area if you are an outsider, or helping with the war if you were born there.
They are basically assigning you to small units that will be fighting against the Diretoe clan.
But nonetheless. You're character does experience the feelings listed.
