Ok. I had to share this with you guys and gals cause it's just SO funny!
I've been seeing these posters today for a club called "queeries" (amazing)
It said something along the lines of "Do you want to meet a real life gay?" (phenomenal)
I started laughing! I was like "opposed to what? One of those imaginary gays you see wandering around?"
N'yway, apparently it's a group that meets twice every week, and people can come and just hang with gays and lesbians and ask questions maybe they were afraid to ask before... Idk, I guess it's a fine idea. It reminds me of the sterotypical gay gay thread. What do you guys think? Me, I think I'll go. My professor says they're all really fun people and anyone who can write "a real life gay" on a poster has to have a sense of humor!

yesh they sound like a riot XD gay guys usally r lol my sister has this friend whos friends with this 17 year old gay guy(my sister is 14 and so it her friend) anyway and everytime i look over at them heir always with ryan(the gay guy) laughing like crazy i herd gay guys r fun to be around (if your a girl and all) so ti would probly be lots of fun ^^

I actually went to talk to them. It was really funny. One girl was in my Psych class, another in my Painting class, and I had no idea they were lesbians! It was cool, I'll probably go again just to hang. Widder, you come too.

at my high school we use to have a club called GSA (Gay Straight Alliance) I never understood exactly what one was suppose to do in the club but I guess it would be the same as just helping others understand gays

Yeah we had a GSA too. I think that's pretty standard for most big high schools. I know that once when the westborrow baptist church came to protest my school, they and some students from politics class and just some other students (me included!) staged a counter protest on the other side of the street. Best time spent at school ever.

I would say best time as well! My town is horrible! Absolutely horrid! I cant wait to move somewhere were people are nicer.

We have a GSA in my school, never joined it though. But I have had the "OMG your really a lesbian?!" reaction before out of people I've met for the first time lol. Its quiet interesting.

Come to Pensacola, FL you'll find us everywhere. And in Alburqurque, NM there's one side of the town that is for LGB's. it's actually quite funnie.

Right now I'm stuck in the "bible belt" states.
The only reaction I ever get is, "Go to church," "You're going to hell," and if I DO go to church with a friend, the reaction I get is the oh so hurtful "People like you aren't accepted here."

Dead Colony Right now I'm stuck in the "bible belt" states. The only reaction I ever get is, "Go to church," "You're going to hell," and if I DO go to church with a friend, the reaction I get is the oh so hurtful "People like you aren't accepted here." Ouch... lol So, in a word it's "Go to church so we can patronize you"? gonk There are actually churches that are more accepting and SANER around, but I guess they might be hard to find where you are.
