Once a week I'll update with the top action around the gaia league FF league. One post per match-up recap.
In typical fashion, half the teams lost, and half won.
Six-burgh: 90.82
vs.
Still Awesome: 113.42
Notes: Six-burgh had the first pick of the draft, but forgot to set it to draft Peterson first and foremost. He wound up with Fitzgerald and Still Awesome snatched up Peterson at #2. Guess who's regretting it? Tony Romo and Santonio Holmes also helped the cause to beat Six-Burgh's Tom Brady/Fitzgerald/Marion Barber combo.
Top performers:
Six-burgh: Tom Brady-23.02 pts. He goes out there, throws a few TDs. Just another night for Mr. Perfect. He's only going to get better as he gets back into the swing of things.
Still Awesome: Adrian Peterson-37.8 pts. The Browns held him down in the first half. Then he got jacked up on IV fluid (Seriously) and he goes all-world on their A****.

Next up:
SN_22: 83.82
vs.
Knightly Princes: 63.58
Notes: My team (Princes) got screwed over when KC decided they had an offense and nearly beat my Ravens D. Didn't help when Cutler threw 4 picks. On the other side, Drew Brews carried the team (37.32 pts), along with Tony Gonzalez (13.3 pts) and the Giants D (14 pts).
Top Player: SN_22: Drew Brees-37.32 The guy lit it up against a porous Lions' D. He's not going to match that week in and out, but he's still on pace to break Brady's TD single season record. I'd hate to face him AND Peterson. *shudders* >.<
Knightly Princes: Ryan Grant-12.7 Just barely beat Cutler as the top perfomer (by .02 pts) so you know my team had a bad day. Hopefully we can rebound.

Next, the closest game of the week.
Eighteen and One: 88.66
vs.
Blades: 79.14
Notes: This was close, but thanks to EAO's Maurice Jones-Drew (18.3) and Chris Cooley (12. cool , they managed to win their week one matchup. Both teams top receivers barley put up any points. Whether it was EAO's T.O. and Roddy White (8.8 pts combined) or Blades' Anquan Boldin and Lee Evans (4.4 pts combined), they just flat-out sucked this week.
Top players: EAO: Maurice Jones-Drew-18.3 I'd like to see this guy try and keep it up all season on a full-time job.
Blades: Peyton Manning-14.64 First Harrison can't be resigned, now Gonzalez is out for up to 8 weeks. I wouldn't be surprised if Manning's numbers took a bit of a dip over the next month. But I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't either.

Now for the biggest blow out of the week! Congrats to:
Atlanta Athletics: 131.98
vs:
8th Wonder: 84.62
Notes: How'd this happen? Well A.A. had Phillidelphia D this week. Uh oh. Delhome threw 4 picks this week so that equates too.....29 pts even! Combined with great contribution by all the other players like Reggie Wayne (22.2), Greg Jennings (18.6), and Roy Williams (14.6), that makes for one heck of a blow out.
Top Players: A.A: Phillidelphia D-29 pts Like I said, they had Delhome helping here. Doesn't change the fact that their fantasy values gone up with their new D coordinator. With respects towards the late Jimmy Johnson, of course.
8th Wonder: Frank Gore-16.8 pts He sucked at getting yardage, but he got the TD's when they counted. But otherwise, he could be in for a rough year.
