The Kingdom of Obel was one of the most powerful kingdoms in the Island Nations before the unification. It is located in the southeastern portion of the Island Nations. It holds many ruins, including one which has housed the Rune of Punishment.In the year 292, during the Kooluk-Obel War, enemy ships ambushed the Royal Entourage. The Queen of Obel uses the power of the Rune of Punishment to stop the pirates from destroyidg the Entourage, she scarificed her life to the rune in the process.
The Island of Obel was a crucial part of the Island Nations unification. For if Lazlo had not been brought there none of the things he accomplished with Line En Kuldes would ne ver have happened.
The Georgraphy of Obel has changed very little in the past centuries, The town only the three tiers of the Islnd were the shops and the houses are located are all in the same places a few being rebuilt after stoms and such. The Port of Obel has grown considerably since Obel has been such an attraction to scholars from around the Nations who want to see where the great war began. The castle of Obel has had a few additions to it. A room dedicated to the royal family King Lino, Princess Flare,and Prince Lazlo En Kuldes are forever immortalized in the stone walls of the castle.
The Large cave where the Massive ship that Lazlo commande once rested is a popular attraction. For we all still wonder how the ship builder made such a large ship in such tight quarters.
The ruins to the west of the castle have degraded vastly in the hudreds of years but they are still standing. It's not reccomened anybody go in there unless you are confident in your skills, many dangerous monsters reside there. But at the end of the ruins you will find a solem place quiet with a small grave by a tree. A saddening place to be sure. But you somehow feel proud standing there.
