I saw a poem similar to this and wanted to expeiriment a little. It's not actually based on an event that happened to me. I just went with the flow on this one.
Heroes and Liars
If I didn't know better I'd say you were
Lying.
You told me once that You never lied, but were
Honest.
That's the thing I guess About you. Two sides to every
Story.
I hoped for a fairytale That you were a
Knight.
Shining in armor, bright Instead you are a
Snake.
Twisted in your own lies Your silver tongue a
Dagger.
In my heart, twisting I hoped you were a
Hero.
But you're not even worth the bottom of his
Shoe.
I'm walking away now You can hear the tap of my
Footsteps.
Telling you goodbye Because you wouldn't make an
Effort.
Kindness, you have none You're cold as stone and
Bitter.
Why take it out on me? I did my best to
Love.
So much for that You couldn't at
All.
That's what I gave you Or tried, but things went
Wrong.
Oh well, I'll be fine It may take
Time.
Something that no one has anymore I'm getting mine back
Today.
Fresh and cool and promising I just wanted to tell you
Goodbye.

I like the way you put that down,it reads weird. What did you read to inspire it?

It's a poem called Blood Red by -lacrimosous carmen-. It's actually somewhere toward the bottom of this forum. It was among the first group of poems ever posted here.
