Seriously guys, how do we not already have a thread discussing this???
I'm disappointed in all of you, and myself...but mostly you guys. razz
Anyway, I like my Vegemite on toast (though the ratio of vegemite to butter must be perfect), plain in a sandwich (see previous brackets) or in a sandwich with cheese. biggrin
So, vegemite....discuss! heart

Ahh good old Vegemite. Really nice stuff and really nice on toast. Agree with you on the butter/vegemite ratio.

Can't stand the stuff. Not to mention I don't like beer, or AFL (which is a big thing in VIC).
In that sense I'm pretty 'unaustralian'

lol It's ok, I'm not a fan of AFL myself and my feelings towards beer are neutral (though it might be a bit different for me what with being female and all sweatdrop ) Either way, there's more than one way of being Australian biggrin
I was talking to some people about food in general and the topic of vegemite came up and one of our group said that when he first saw vegemite, he thought it was like nutella and spread it really thickly...I think you can guess the result xd

http://au.news.yahoo.com/a/-/latest/6150808/vegemite-new-name-cheesybite Quote: After the original name was universally condemned and then dumped, Kraft has announced its new product will now be called Vegemite Cheesybite. After a vote by 30,000 Australians and New Zealanders at the weekend, Vegemite Cheesybite emerged with 36 per cent support to replace the much-maligned moniker iSnack2.0. Do you approve of Kraft's choice? Leave your comment below? Quantum Market Research conducted online polling and a telephone survey to gauge support for a number of names for the cream cheese version of the iconic brand. Vegemite Cheesybite was the most popular, followed by Vegemite Smooth with 23 per cent of the vote. "We have been overwhelmed by the response of the Australian public; it has been an insightful debate," Kraft Foods Australia New Zealand head of corporate affairs, Simon Talbot, said in a statement. "Australians have now selected a popular name for a successful product." The Vegemite Cheesybite-named stock will appear on shelves in the coming months. In the mean time, Vegemite iSnack2.0 jars are still being distributed and sold around the country. A 27-year-old father-of-two from Western Australia fought off competition from almost 50,000 submissions to coin what some considered an odd name for a food product. His concept was dumped just four days after it was revealed by Kraft when it became obvious consumers hated it. xd
