Ok, so I've already mentioned this before around OOC...but I'm going ahead and make it a formal announcement thread. We really need to get LG back up and running. I don't know really what to do, but I've got a couple of things in mind.

For starters, things are starting to get really cluttered in places. To make things a little more bearable, I want to go and delete any threads that are old and collecting dust. This would be in the main forum, the OOC forum, and the crew forum. I'm also going to make a new subforum named the Recycle Bin, where we can move any threads that MAY be important or were important at some time and we may need to go back and dig them up later on...so its best we don't delete them.

Next, I was thinking about a new "look" for the guild (i.e. redo homepage and better organize/pretty-fy posts). I'll take care of that though, so don't worry so much.

I was also think about revamping alot of the stuff thats in the RP Basics thread. Make it easier to read and understand so members can follow it better. I'll change some things, get rid of others, and maybe add new stuff. One of the changes I was thinking of was the starter Pokemon issue. I think that perhaps we should change the whole, pick-your-own-starter thing. Maybe have someone else play the NPC Oak and hand out starter Pokemon. People wouldn't get to choose. What do you think?

These are just some ideas. I don't want this post getting too long lol. Anyone else have ideas?

Yeah, an option would be good...like in the game! But it would be different for everyone. This brings up an issue though:

Since we're doing this new stuff, should we let those who've already started their journeys to keep going, or have people start over? It wouldn't really be fair to start over now, would it?

What I was thinking MAYBE we could do, is get another region up and running soon so that we could open up that one and maybe people could start anew there? While we clean up Kanto threads? I don't know...that's what I'd like to do, ideally, but that may not fly with everyone. I know it would mess a lot of people up. Guess we should put that one to vote, huh?

Cuz I wanted to redo the setup of the threads in the regions as well. So they were a little more organized/clear, maybe?

Yeah, but an activity check would take some time. But I guess it would be the only fair way to do that. And in the activity check I would put the poll to vote about starting over or starting a new region...that way we'd get people's ideas on the matter. But we did an activity check last time and a bunch of people came back and then still never posted in the RP...

Oops I meant taking out the option of the three you hate of the thing. But you wouldn't get three options. You'd probably just get one from Oak. A random one.

Ah, alright. I guess this'll work. 3nodding

It just makes me more anxious for later regions.

Ok, it has been brought to my attention that not letting people pick their starters may not be the best way to go.

I'm going to continue to let members decide what starters they want, but create stricter rules regarding starters. It's not going to be so lenient anymore. And, I want people to actually RP and go to see Oak (who they can control) and get their Pokemon from him first in the RP, then create the Pokemon profile for them.

Yeah, I think that must be it. It's a pain to keep track of stuff. I mean, even in the academy, its such a pain to keep track of lockers. That's the only thing. But its more vital to the RP here to keep track of stuff than it is in the academy.
