I might be less active then normal for a while. Why? I'm attempting to rewrite Twilight so it's GOOD. No purple prose, making Bella a less of a Sue and a birch, Edward isn't abusive, and it isn't all romance and filler. It's taking a while, but I'm about halfway through Chapter one. ...Okay, maybe less.
But this a project to show that almost anyone can make this better then Smeyer.
Do you want to try? Go ahead! Comments, samples, your own rewrites, and discussion! I'll have the first chapter up soon!

And Bella actually calls her father Dad, and respects him. Yeah, way different. Can't forget the "show, don't tell" rule I'm trying to keep with. I've also decided to change the Cullens a bit...

Good luck with that! I'd be too much of a chicken to do it because it seems so intimidating! I might try to rewrite a page or so, but the whole book -- I can't even contemplate it.

Write your own vampire book that you can MARKET, and show her that way...unless this is going to be a "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" thing, in which case, go for it, although I don't think it's humanly possible to turn Twilight into something good. Please don't make the vampires sparkle, and if they do, have some random person come in and kill them. Oh, can they all die at the end of book one? Pleeeeaaase? It would be a surprising deviation from the norm if that happened,and all the annoying characters would be dead, thus improving the series immensely.

It's more of a side project.I've had a block on my own story, so I decided to try this. Besides, with barely anything else to do, it fills the time. Believe me, I have PLENTY of other. Other than that... Yeah, it deviates WAY more from the original then the fans would like. People will die, though. But only if it's, you know, believable. I'm thinking of Edward having to die, because of the whole James thing. Maybe a few others, since there wouldn't be a need for the studio... Er, anyway... Thanks. I have Word Pad open for my story right now... *scratches head* Maybe this will destroy my block.

I find that stabbing things makes me feel MUCH better ^.^ But yeah, good luck with the rewrite. I look forward to reading it (I hope you'll post it here?)
