Juxtaposition
Brightness and shadow in juxtaposition
Are like to my heart and my mind.
I search for a method to ease this transition,
But blurred is my vision, fatiguing my mission;
I feel like I’ve fallen behind.
Fallen behind like an autumn leaf gripping
A branch while its brothers drift down,
I grasp at familiar but find myself slipping;
Away I am tipping, descending and dipping
To find my own spot on the ground.
Despite my best efforts I’ve been integrated
With feelings I’ve seldom admired.
Smoothly my mind has been assimilated,
But I have awaited with hope unabated
To know that my heart is inspired.
