Lucien stood near the back of the classroom, arms crossed over his chest in an unconscious mirroring of Z as he surveyed the results of their past half hour of work. Everything looked about ready, and Z, standing beside him in an identical pose, grunted his approval before wandering over to turn the music up another notch so that it blasted through the walls and probably echoed down the hallway. The fun was just about to start.

They'd skipped - well Lucien had skipped, Z never went in any case - the last hour of class to prepare the party, though the idea had been mostly Lucien's and only reluctantly executed by Z. Beer, coolers, and some of the harder liquor rested to one side of the room, near where the usually unused chalkboard was fixed onto the wall to the right of the entrance. It was a free-for-all sort of situation, you could make or take whatever you wanted. Lights were slightly dimmed to add to the atmosphere, and high-grade speakers blared out music from all four corners of the room.

It hadn't taken much persuasion to get the usual occupants of #5 out temporarily so that they could set it all up - the prospect of a party was always good, and one held by this particular pair promised to surpass all expectations. Lucien was relatively sure they'd succeeded in that aspect, but attendance remained to be seen.

Leaving the music controls, Z arced a questioning brow over at Lucien's continued immobility before heading to the snacks laid out on several desks pushed together. None of it was heavy food - both him and Lucien had agreed that lighter finger foods would allow the alcohol to work faster, but it meant that he'd basically starve for the next couple of hours. He reached his hand out, aiming for one of the tasty-looking sandwiches just as the door to the classroom opened.

OOC - to clarify:

- consider this ORP to be essentially your characters, in that location. you can choose to RP reactions to everything that happens, or focus merely on one or two other characters, or wander from character to character. others can respond or ignore your character as they wish.
- there is no 'post order' for the ORP, though obviously if you directed an action towards someone, you need to wait for their response before posting again.
- "requirements" - ORPs need to be posted in your journal if you participate, 45+ posts for it to count towards ranking up, 300 word summary as usual.

"I'm going to go to the library and get started on research for that paper." Bianca informed her partner. Though the silver haired girl was actually looking away from Cammi as she spoke. Her attention having been directed down the hall towards where music was coming from. Ah classroom #5 it figured, a small smile tugged at the scythe girl's lips, she had a feeling Cammi was going to be drawn into the music producing room instead of towards her studies.

"Okay cool I'll meet up with you later" Cammi's eyes had narrowed in the direction of the other classroom she'd been meaning to check out. "I want to see what's going on in there." Curiosity that must be satisfied and all that jazz. The girl with her pixie cut blonde hair had no intention of frying her brain by going to do research so soon after class had ended. There was only so much sitting still and reading she could take in a day.

Bianca nodded " Mmhm I'll check in later and see if you're still there." Bianca had to admit to herself she was a bit curious about what was going on in the room today since it seemed to be blatantly advertising itself. Still she wanted to at least get started on the research for her paper first. It wasn't hard for her to get sidetracked, especially these days so Bianca wanted to at least get something productive done today in case she got distracted later.

Cammi nodded, winked at her best friend then the two girls headed off in separate directions.

Long quick strides carried the blue eyed girl down the hall and to the door of classroom #5.With a grin she placed her hand on the handle and moved to open the door. The music inside the room was decidedly louder than out in the hall but Cammi found she liked the way she could feel it all around her. It made her heart beat just a little faster and that was always something she desired. Instantly she spotted Lucien and smiled at him, she should have guessed he was behind this, his partner she didn't recognize but had heard of by now, he got a friendly half wave of acknowledgment.

It looked like the pair of them had set the room up for plenty of fun and Cammi was glad she'd decided to check it out.

Zoe raced into the room with the speed and flexibility of a kitten running away from her owner. It was grand, and ridiculous and so, completely _her_ that as she skidded to the door and almost ended up crashing into the door's occupant.

Damn.

Turning with a grin growing over her flushed face, she pushed her dark hair away from her eyes: it was loose and wild, almost. The loose and wild that came from racing ones weapon through the halls of shibusen on a silly little dare.

"I win. So you're designated driver tonight." was her answer as the weapon skidded towards her direction, stopping early enough not to repeat her mistake. His face was gently flushed as he looked around, wondering if people had watched the two of them make a fool of themselves.

"You were right." he stated, completely ignoring her statement. "There IS a party."

Her grin was triumphant. "Never doubt girls gossiping in the bathroom. It's all true, you know?" her gaze scanned the room with a look of glee, lighting up at the sight of booze and further brightening when they noticed one of the occupants.

Bingo.

"So, try to behave yourself, alright?" he asked, frowning. "I thought you'd lose for sure in those heels."

Zoe looked down at her feet with a slightly distracted air. Towering snake skin blue shoes she'd bought herself as a present after ranking up with Jared. "I know, me too." she said absentmindedly, noticing that the snake on her left foot (the toe nails had been painted to match said shoe) looked slightly demented compared to the snake on the right. "I'll behave. Of course." her grin was impish. "As much as Jack and Jim will let me behave."

Jared knew of her love for Jack Daniels and Jim Beam enough to understand. A little part of him died.

This was going to be baby sitting duty.

Again.

"Come on guys! This should be pretty fun. Z's a really cool guy," urged Derek as he stopped by the door for classroom #5. Sometime earlier he had caught wind of what was going to be happening in here, so he thought it would be good for them all to check it out. Andre was a little apprehensive about it, but Aryana seemed to be up for the party so he came along as well. Just as long as they didn't go overboard with anything, the three should be fine, he thought. Though, in the back of his head, he had to wonder if any of the faculty of the school knew about it. If they did, would they even try to do anything about this little party? Most likely that didn't matter so much.

"Well it couldn't hurt I guess. Just don't do anything stupid ok?"

"I'm sure he won't," laughed Aryana before peeking into the classroom. It didn't take long before she caught sight of a familiar face. Actually, it was two familiar faces, "Oh! Koh! Red! You guys are here too?"

Aside from those two, the rest of the students around were new faces to the twins. Hearing his sister greet them, Andre waved lightly at the pair as while wandering into the room himself. Over all, the room looked like a normal classroom, though there seemed to be a good deal of refreshments around. It was also little empty at the time, but he supposed they were just early. At least the music seemed alright as well.

"You know these guys?" asked Derek while making his way over by Aryana. With a grin, he waved at the two before glancing around the room as well. This was the first time he had actually been in this classroom, but as far as he could tell there wasn't anything special about it... aside from the setup that had been put together for this party.

"Yeah, we met them at the Cafe Mattel the other day. Oh yeah, this is our technician, Derek," replied Andre as he introduced the skater as well.

Today was just another school day, nothing too special about that. As Kang Ling sat at her desk, she sighed and glanced up at the round, black clock that was hanging above the blackboard, harmlessly ticking away. Face cupped in one hand while the other held a pencil and mindlessly spun it around, having picked up the pencil tricks from her classmates back at home long ago.

Now, it wasn’t like the girl disliked school. Far from that, actually. She happened to be keen on learning, book learning in particular. Kang always had an affinity for books and discovering new facts and information. In this way, school suited her very nicely. The girl did not mind doing homework nor class work, but being in a class all by herself was lonesome. She knew the names of most of the people in this specific period, but there was no one she could willingly converse with during free time. Not like she had that many friends to speak of either. If she included both the twins as friends (they were, but they were partners too, right? Then they didn’t count) they could all fit on one hand. It was sort of pitiful.

Hearing the familiar trilling of the bell, she gladly packed up her things and slung the backpack over her shoulder. She shuffled out of the classroom, letting the flow of students eager to leave take her away. Wandering the halls by herself, Kang Ling stopped near the wall and awkwardly looked around, wondering what her next course of action would be.

Ears picked up faint music and she curiously rotated her head towards the source. With plenty of time to finish homework later, she followed the sound without a second thought about the consequences. Twisting and turning, Kang weaved through the crowd to stop at classroom #5. Pausing in front of the innocently closed door, she hesitated and ruminated over her next decision.

After much consideration, she took a deep breath and cautiously opened the door, head peeking inside the room. Recognizing a few occupants in the room, she gained the confidence to completely ease herself into the room and closed the door behind her. “H-Hello . . .” she mumbled, wondering if anyone would hear her.

Zoe perked up when she turned around to see the twins. Her gaze turned towards the technician with a grin as she nodded her head. "Hello there!" she crooned, waving at him. "My name is Koh, and yeah we met at cafe Mattel." over that wonderful chocolate cheesecake... which reminded her. She needed her cheesecake fix sometime soon. "My name is Koh, and this is Red. I'm his technician." or he was her weapon. The same thing. "I'm glad to meet you!" she turned then, her eyes almost laughing at Aryana and Andre. "Our house is clean and lovely! So we will all need to talk once, and have game night, and do all that fun stuff."

Jared almost rolled his eyes. Sure, attack the trio with conversation before they even had a chance to step into the room. It was formidable to watch, almost. "It's nice to meet you." he managed politely, and looked towards the finger food and the drinks. Was it safer to stick her with the drinks already, so that she didn't make a fool of herself now? Or keep her with him so that she didn't make a fool of herself later AFTER the drinks?

Catch 22.

At the small, almost timid hello he looked over to notice a small Chinese girl standing by the doorway. That was curious: was she going to drink and party as well? He smiled at her, nodding his head. "Hello."

It was instinctive. It was polite.

It was not what Zoe had in mind.

"Come on! There're drinks over there!" she reached out and latched onto Aryana, tugging her towards the direction of the drinks. "Aren't you thirsty? Andre, are you thirsty? Do you want something to drink? Let's goooooo!" the last was dragged out as she tried to pull the twins away towards the alcohol.

Apparently news and curiosity traveled fast becuase just moments after she'd arrived Cammi had been joined in the classroom by like half a dozen other people. Most of them were strangers to her though she recognized a few friendly faces. Well if nothing else she wasn't going to be lonely or bored while she was here. Maybe she'd challenge Zoe to a drinking game or something in a bit, the other female technician was a pretty interesting person and had been the competitive type sort of at the gym. She also seemed to be fond of drinking if the way she was dragging people towards the alcohol was any indication.

Cammi raised a hand in a lazy wave at the quiet girl who'd just shown up. She was going to have to be more assertive in her tone if she wanted to continue being heard over the music and get anyone's attention for long.

It took Derek a moment, but he soon remembered what she meant with the game night. Awhile back the twins had mentioned something like that as some plans in the near future. Once that was recalled, he grinned and nodded.

"Nice to meet you too! I'm... wait, Andre already said my name. Nevermind!"

Laughing, he soon paused when he heard a faint but familiar voice from somewhere behind. And sure enough, Kang Ling was in the room. Something seemed a little off though... He soon realized that Rainer and Caine weren't with her.

"Kang! Good to see you again! You came to join the party too?" he asked with a big grin.

While Derek was preoccupied with Kang, Aryana could only wave as she was being dragged off towards the drinks. Andre waved as well, and for a moment he frowned at Koh. But it washed away to a more neutral expression soon enough.

"Yeah... I'm a little thirsty. But.. Aryana can walk on her own you know."

"Andre it's fine! It's no harm really," reassured Aryana with a soft laugh.

As she took the time to soak in her surroundings, she realized the presence of liquor and her eyes widened. Muscles tensed and Kang Ling stayed glued to her spot, too unsure to take another step forward. Lucky for her there didn’t seem to be any newcomers to the party, so stupidly standing in front of the door was still safe for the time being. Noticing a small wave directed towards her, she did a small bow back.

The sound of a ‘hello’ lightly spooked her and she hastily turned towards it. Faced with an unfamiliar brunette, Kang did another bow. She nervously twirled her fingers together as she shifted back and forth on her feet and stared down at the floor. “I-It’s n-n-n-nice t-to m-me-m-meet y-you . . .” she muttered, never daring to raise her head to look at the boy.

Considering on whether to quickly and awkwardly leave the classroom, a familiar voice broke her thoughts and she slowly angled her head ever so slightly. After realizing that it was Derek, Kang carefully lifted her head, nodding at him. “I-It’s nice to s-see y-you a-again t-too,” she replied and tilted her head to the side, looking thoughtful. “I-I’m n-n-not s-sure. P-Pe-Perhaps.

Derek was practically grinning from ear to ear as he reached out to try and bring her further into the room. Not only was it to try and get her to stay, it was also so the doorway wouldn't be blocked up in case others wanted to enter.

"Perhaps? Of course you are! Come on in, we're all friends here."

It didn't quite occur to him that she might not be all the comfortable with the gesture, or the party in general. But he was fairly excited for things to get into full blast.

"Is there anything you'd like? I can go grab something for you if you want," he started before pausing, "Where's Rainer and Caine by the way? I would have thought Rainer would like to show up or something like that."

Z completed his reach for the sandwitch, snagging two and deftly shifting them to his free hand while he bit into the first. His expression was carefully bland as he looked around the room, gaze taking in those he knew and those he had yet to meet. Blah. He hated these things, and was already somewhat tempted to get the hell out. Of the entire gathering so far, he only recognized two - Derek and Kang, who were now in the process of moving further into the room.

Deciding he may be able to pass some time at least with that particular little group, Z finished the first sandwich in one big bite before grabbing another and stepping towards the middle of the room. "Hey, Derek! Didn't think you'd be here."

Lucien was also doing a mental tally of the attendees, watching as people began to mingle, though it was too early to call the party a success. A light push against the wall brought him upright, before he, too, headed towards the center of the room. Who to approach first?

Cammi, perhaps. He'd enjoyed meeting her before, and perhaps if he could appear involved in something before Koh headed in his direction, he'd be able to avoid an embarrassing, and possibly painful, bout of fangirlness. That last, and first meeting with her had been extraordinarily draining, and Lucien wasn't sure he was up for round two just yet.

Decided, Lucien strode until he was mere inches away from the girl before bending down slightly to half-whisper, half-talk into her ear. "You want a drink?" One hand lifted to indicate the direction of the drink bar as Lucien began to play the role of perfect host.
PostPosted: Sat Sep 12, 2009 9:12 pm

Cammi was starting to wonder if she was slightly anti-social or something, half of everyone here seemed to know each other and be on good terms. Maybe she needed to cut down on practices a bit and try to meet people more. The idea didn't sit too well with her though and there were always times like this where everyone got together anyways. Though most seemed to be gravitating towards those they already knew.

At least it wasn't some awkward school dance type thing with girls on one side of the room and boys on the other. Though unlike in the public schools she went too boys seemed to outnumber girls here, both in the room and the school in general, for some reason. There was probably a science or history project there somewhere, tallying the official gender divide and then splitting it between weapons and technicians, types of weapons, if it'd changed over time etc etc. She'd have to keep that in mind for the future

As she watched the ever growing crowd, while tapping a foot on the floor, Cammi noted that there appeared to be a mix of seemingly passive and assertive people in the room. Before she could contemplate this further and decide on who to approach for conversation, conversation found her.

A small smile spread across the blonde's face at Lucien's voice " Sure, would you please mix something interesting?" She was always up for trying new things including new drinks and she could indulge in her secret pleasure of watching his hands. Not that it was perverted or anything to appreciate the green eyed boy's hands just.. not normal.

Startled by the other technician’s statement, Kang Ling’s eyes widened just a bit and her fingers flexed, perplexed at this. Having always kept to her self with the exception of one or two friends back at home, this concept was foreign to her. Everyone was friends here? That sounded overwhelming.

W-We a-are?

She clumsily stumbled forward; safely out of the door’s range should it decide to swing open once more. One hand tightly gripped onto the strap of her backpack, the other lifelessly hung by her side. Feeling the vibrations of the music run through her body, Kang shyly shook her head at Derek. “N-No. I-I’m f-fi-fi-fine.

The girl uneasily shifted her weight from one side to another. “I-I d-didn’t sh-share th-this c-class w-with th-the-them. Th-They’re p-probably s-still i-in c-class n-now or s-something l-l-like th-that,” she answered.

As another familiar person approached them, she took a small step back and leaned forward, a slight bow. “O-Oh. H-Hello . . .

"Sure we are! Why wouldn't we be?"

As he asked this, he had tilted his head to the side. She appeared to be pretty tense here, but he couldn't really see why she would be. So for now, he just shrugged off that thought. At least it sounded like the other twins may be showing up a little later, whenever they got out of class and such. Maybe she'll be a little less tense then?

Before he could really get an answer out of her, Derek heard Z's calling out to him. Turning around, he saw the violet eyed boy drawing near the two.

"Haha, well I figured that a party with you as one of the hosts has to be a pretty awesome one, so when I heard about it, I knew I wouldn't want to miss it," he said with a grin, "How've you two been?"

"It would be my pleasure." Lucien began to head towards the drinks area, one hand coming up to rest lightly at Cammi's back as he steered her around one of the other groups of people now chatting happily away. "Interesting, hmm..?"

Once there, he removed his hand and settled himself behind the table, hands expertly reaching for and rearranging alcohol and shakers to where he preferred them to be. Z had set up this particular section of the party, and they had very differing ideas of what should go where. For himself, he preferred hard liquors to one side, juices and flavoring on the other, and the alcohol that one didn't mix, but merely chugged in high quantities at the far end where they couldn't interfere with the art of drink mixing. Z on the other hand... could notice and remember where everything was located even if it was in a jumble, so the thought of organization had probably never even occurred to him.

As his hands danced over the bottles, gracefully lifting and replacing, he lifted his head to show questioning eyes. "We made sure there was a lot of variety here. Any preferences at all?"

Z grinned with a tint of twisted humor at Derek's words, though he toned it down a tiny bit when he turned to face Kang. "Hey guys - why are you bowing? I'm not nobility or some thing strange like that. I'm not sure 'awesome' would be the right word, but it's definitely going to be wild." Popping the last of the sandwiches in his mouth, he chewed quickly and swallowed before continuing, "This was mostly Lucien's idea, anyway. Gatherings like these aren't much to my taste."

He really wouldn't be here, if not for the fact that he was Lucien's partner and... he hated to admit it, but the damn guy had somehow manipulated him to feel like he should at least put in some effort into staying in the room for more than five minutes. In such a situation, even he could indulge in a bit of small talk. "I've been decent. Jumped off a few buildings recently. You?" Maybe.
