EXPLAIN. A ROLEPLAY CONTEST.
Starts: Now (Thursday September 10, 2009) Ends: Thursday September 24, 2009 at 2pm GST | 6pm PST | 7pm MST | 8pm CST | 9pm EST (May be extended if there aren't enough entries, or if people are having too much trouble thinking up a reasonable response.)
Judge(s): Ryuukishin and anyone else I may choose to help.
Rules: • One entry per person. • You may not try out for someone else. • You may give away the Hare to a friend if you win. • Read everything in the front page and Guild, please, before asking questions. • This thread is for entries only. If you have any questions, ask in the main thread. • You may edit your entry if needed, but please put whatever has been edited in a different colored font (that's easily viewable!) so that it may be found and noticed easily.
Judging On: • The funny. :u Lawl, if you've stayed around long enough, you'll probably notice most of my games revolve around how well people can make me laugh. |D; • Grammar. A few deliberately misspelled words here and there is fine. But if your entry is so horrible I have no idea what you're trying to say, obviously, it's not going to be funny. xD
Prompt: Just explain how that hare's leg ended up tied around in a band and ended up with the Varg. Don't forget to include information on how they met, and why they're staying together! (If you provide an unrealistic reason, you probably won't win. So please remember to take into consideration that wolves eat hares when they're hungry.)
Additional Information: • The two are bonded. Meaning, when I cert, the wolf's name will appear on the hare's cert. Although.... • They can be unbonded if you want, but I kind of want them to stay together. xD Winner's choice, I suppose. • The Kerl is not a Speaker (although he (yes, "he," he is a male) may be Roleplayed to one in the future). That means he and the hare can not communicate through speech. (Body language is okay.) • You may not ask the Roleplay Manager for help in thinking up a realistic reason.
Form:Username: Wolf's Name: Hare's Name: Hare's Gender:

Prompt Response: Put your response here.
Additional Notes: If you have any additional notes (such as if you'd prefer it if the two weren't bonded), just slap it here. Note: Additional prizes may be given if there are enough entries.

Username: Malhyanth Wolf's Name: Grith Hare's Name: Carrion Hare's Gender: Male
Prompt Response: Just explain how that hare's leg ended up tied around in a band and ended up with the Varg. Don't forget to include information on how they met, and why they're staying together! (If you provide an unrealistic reason, you probably won't win. So please remember to take into consideration that wolves eat hares when they're hungry.)
This... This was not good.
Grith tried desperately to quieten the screeching hare that was now suffering the loss of a foot. How was Grith to know he wouldn't like the taste of hare when he had caught this creature? In fact, he was fighting the desire to vomit right now, after blood had been swallowed. The foot he had managed to snap clean from the hare's body now lay a little way away. The hare was in obvious and loud pain, but the Kerl couldn't for the life of him understand what it was screeching about. Its words were lost on his ears, and all he heard was the terrified cries of the maimed hare as it tried to limp away, only to be dragged back by the Kerl who was trying to right his wrong!
"Look, I've said I'm sorry to you, what else do you want me to do?!" He looked around, nervous of being found with this still alive prey creature. He really was a bit useless! First he realised he didn't like the taste of weasel, after that incident a few days ago, and now he had found out the hard way he didn't like hare! At least with the weasel it had managed to get away with just a n** and a little trail of blood! This one had just had to go and get his foot nipped off! Only a young varg, he had been used to his mother bringing him meals, up until a few weeks past. Things had definitely gone down hill from there. He knew there was something meaty he really liked, but so far, all his attempts to catch that meaty delight had ended up with something really nasty happening.
The hare continued to flail about and try and get away, so Grith brought it close to him and trapped its neck under a paw.
"Listen bozo! I didn't mean to chew off your foot, alright! It was an accident! If you hadn't tried to run away, I would have found out I didn't like hare and you could have gone off to live your life with all four feet, but you didn't, did you!!!" Exasperated, Grith sat, paw still on the hare, even though it was starting to look as though it was a little choked, and was pressing at the huge grey paw with its own hind-legs. Cyan eyes watched it comically, but didn't let up. "Stop it will ya! I'm trying to think of a way for this to sort itself out!!" The hare seemed to give up, and look exasperatedly at the varg that held it captive. Grith frowned back at it, and dragged the little foot toward himself with the other forepaw, looking at it interestedly. Perhaps.... perhaps they could find someone to reattach it? That was it!! Wagging his tail excitedly, he pointed at the foot, and then the leg it had been taken off of.
"I've got it! I know what to do! There is that place, you know, with the humans! Surely they could reattach this for you! You know, stick it back on!" The hare looked confused, as though not understanding. How could it not understand? "Look, I ain't gonna eat ya! I just want to be friends, yeah? I'll help you find someone to reattach your foot, and then we'll be even!" He looked pleased with his idea. He let the hare up, who still looked extremely confused by this giant varg not eating him whole. The pain still shot through the missing foot, and he was desperate to go, but that varg was just too weird to let him go. He sat still and watched as Grith picked up his foot in his jaws, gentle as though it was a pup, and placed it in front of him.
"We got to get that stuck back on! Do you understand?" The hare shrugged a little, ears back. Grith let out a sigh, and picked up the foot, before motioning for the hare to follow. A little indignant that a varg had his foot, the hare limped after the Kerl, confused as hell.
Days went past, with very little progress. The Kerl that was followed by a footless hare became a bit of a joke with the varg that did see them, and all were asked where the nearest human town was. One passer-by had been kind enough to tie a band around the foot so that it was easier for Grith to carry in his quest to get it reattached. The hare, though still confused by why he was following this crazy varg, found it actually quite fun in the end, and as he was with a varg, seemed less likely to be food for one that DID like hare as a main course! However, he might not have been so fond of the idea if he could understand what he was being called by the varg!
"Hey there Carrion, how's your leg doing? I have to admit, Car', that this foot ain't smelling so good! I hope it can still be attached when we find someone who can! Else it might be a bit of a dodgy foot! Might fall off of its own accord. D'ya know, this smell's why I decided to call you Carrion? Yeah, its true. Smells a lot like that stuff. Gross huh? Least I'm carrying it for ya eh?" These wholly one sided conversations occurred often as the bizarre pair continued on their quest to find a human that would aid them fix the wrong done.
And to top it off, Grith still hadn't found that meat that his mother had sicked up for him and he had enjoyed so much! Typical!
Additional Notes: Teehee X33 Even if you don't laugh, this was fun for me ^^

Username:Awesome Pigtails Wolf's Name:Shey Hare's Name:Groop Hare's Gender:Male
Prompt Response: "Groop." Sheey turned around and muttered"Later,k...." "GROOOP." Shey opened his eyes.In front of him was the weirdest sight he ever saw. A hare was sitting beside of him.On his neck was a necklace, which had a leg strung into it.And,apparently it was the hare's own leg.-This is crazy.I'm going insane.-Shey stood up and closed his eyes. Then he shook his head.He opened eyes again. They weren't deceiving him."Who are you?"he asked, approaching the hare. Strangely enough,he wasn't in the least compelled to eat the hare.It was like....He wanted to know the hare better.-That's absurd!-he thought-I like to EAT hares, not converse with them!-"Groop."answered the hare, snapping Shey out of his thoughts."Okay.....Groop it is." Coming closer to the hare, the wolf sniffed him all over.He had a weird, smoky smell.-Why would he smell like SMOKE?-pondered Shey. As Shey walked around him,the Hare seemed not to care, and looked at something in the sky. -I better eat him,I guess.-came Shey to a conclusion. Quickly,he stepped up to the hare, and swallowed his head. That's when things went wrong. As Shey tried to chomp down, his teeth hit the necklace, and he had the horriblest sensation, like he was going to vomit and turn inside out. He tried to bury himself in the rabbit's fur,to somehow ease the sensation, but instead his head got stuck in the necklace. The rabbit jerked from terror, and with a horrible SHWOOP!he was free, and the necklace was stuck in Shey's teeth. The next 5 minutes were spent by Shey to somehow get rid of the necklace. It was useless, and worse still, the vomiting sensation got worse if you tried to get it off. Shey discovered, however, that if he stood by the hare, the sensation disappeared.Apparently the hare was thinking the same thing, for he took on a green shade of color if he hopped within 5 feet of Shey. Suddenly,Groop looked Shey straight in the eye.Shey looked back. In that gaze, they made a silent agreement to always stay together. And to help each other find their missing parts. For the hare, his leg,for the wolf, his common sense.
Additional Notes: Shey can be very weird at times,in case you haven't noticed. The phrase"I better eat him,I guess" says it all.Groop is quite a grumpy character, although I didn't really get the chance to show it.And in case you are wondering who I am,I'm a dedicated silent stalker.

Username: Wolf's Name: Talutah Hare's Name: Sikyatavo Hare's Gender: male
Prompt Response:
Sikyatavo had been out looking for something to nibble on, the weather was starting to get cooler, he could see the changes in the leaves coloring. This time of year was a dangerous one. For he knew this best. His crimson eyes looked over to the female Varg companion he had. They couldn't speak together, but it was an unspoken rule. Sikyatavo grumbled to himself about revenge and how he would one day kill the wolf that took his leg.
Blissfully oblivious to the hatred that radiated off the hare, Talutah mostly happily followed the hare around. To her, he was her best friend. Even if they couldn't speak. She often remember that fated day about a year ago that lead them to being together. Her tongue ran over the string that was connected to her 'friends' foot.
A year ago the hare and the wolf were just that; a hare and wolf. Talutah was looking for dinner. She had been getting teased for preferring food of the plant kind, rather then meat. Striking out to prove herself, and to stop the teasing she looked for something alive. Talutah was not the best hunter, she stepped on twigs, and scared off the to be food. She had almost given up hope when she spotted a light colored hare.
Sikyatavo had gotten himself stuff in some string that the humans near by had made. The string got caught in a fall down tree branch, and he couldn't get out. The humans had wanted his feet and skin. But he manged to get away... His eyes spotted the wolf. His natural enemy. Though it didn't seem like she was a real hunter, but still, natural order!
Talutah marched right up to the hare, talking to him, though he could not understand. "I'm really very sorry. But I have to eat you now so that I'll stop getting teased!" The howls were low... And it wasn't to obvious to her that the hare was clueless. She would lean down and start to gnaw on the hares caught leg.
"Yuck...." She was not impressed by the taste at all.
But as she did this, Sikyatavo bit her ear, giving her such an unexpected scare that she bit the hares leg right off! The hare cried bloody murder and the poor wolf was so upset seeing the blood going everywhere that she passed out...
Sikyatavo through means unknown manged to survive this terrible ordeal. Cursing the fainted wolf. But his silver lining was that he was no longer stuck. But so attached to his foot, he simply couldn't leave it behind. When Talutah awoke, The 3 legged hare stared at her unimpressed by this to be ferocious beast, he vowed to take his revenge on her.
"Ooh... lucky rabbits foot!" The wolf thought pulling the string free. Surely now she would be the luckiest wolf around! She took the foot, and the hare followed. Boy was she lucky.
"I hate you..." Sikyatavo thought.

After much deliberation and collaboration, a consensus has been reached.
I would like it to be known that, while this is our decision, it can be improved upon.
Congratulations, Malhyanth!
Also, please PM either this or EPD's account, as there is something I would like to discuss with you.
