Should Adam and Lilith be counted as "Angels"?

Well, I suppose the more accepted idea is that Adam and Lilith should indeed be included. But I don't like it when people refer to Adam and Lilith as "Angels". In my eyes the Angels are the offspring of Adam, while Lilin are the Offspring of Lilith. So right there, everything is evenly separated. Lilin on one side, under Lilith; Angels on the other side under Adam. Adam and Lilith both go into the category of "Seed Of Life". Seeds of life not being Angels, but instead another type of being, a 3rd party of sorts. So really, there's only 14 Angels (15 if you include Kaworu).

In the series it's understandable for the characters to believe that Adam and Lilith were the first two Angels. To them, Adam and Lilith are two giant monsters just like the rest of the Angels. But we, the viewer, know better and understand that Adam and Lilith are special and therefore separate from the rest of the Angels. It isn't until the end of the series/EoE when a few characters find out the difference, but then Misato makes the crazy assumption that "LOL, WE CAME FROM LILITH, WE MUST BE ANGELS TOO. biggrin DD". stare

So anyways, what does everybody else think about this matter, if any of you had even bothered to give it a second thought.

Say that there are two completely different species. One are the humans. The other are the Angels. They didn't come from the same creator. They each came from separate creators.

The Angels were born from Adam.

The humans (Lilin) were born from Lilith.

Adam and Lilith are two completely different entities, despite the fact that they appear similar and are both Seeds of Life.

Going with what you said, God would not be counted as a human. He's considered the creator of mankind. But not one with mankind.

Same will go with Adam and Lilith. They each gave birth to two separate species.

The First Ancestral Race (some celestial God-like beings above even Adam and Lilith, whom wrote the Secret Dead Sea Scrolls that Seele found) presumably never intended for two different Seeds of Life to land on the same planet. It was supposed to either be an Adam planet, or a Lilith planet.

Adam, holding the Fruit of Life, would give birth to a bunch of giant entities (the Angels) that would be immortal and hold immense power, but unable to communicate in any way with each other, and basically be individuals for all eternity.

Lilith, holding the Fruit of Knowledge, would give birth to humans and other mortal creatures (and create a world exactly like ours today). The offspring's lives would be limited, but they'd be able to evolve and reproduce.

In the anime, Earth was originally an Adam planet; Adam, in his White Moon landed on Earth. But before an Offspring could be created, Lilith, in her Black moon, crash landed on Earth. This put Adam into essentially a coma. In the crash, Lilith's Lance of Longinus broke. But Lilith, with Adam safely out of commission, gave birth to life and we get how life is today.

But in 2000 A.D., as we know, during the Katsuragi Expedition in Antarctica, Adam was awakened and 2I was initiated. The only thing we could do to minimize the damage and prevent him from wiping out all life on Earth, we shrunk her into an embryonic state. But as she exploded, releasing all her energy before becoming an embryo, she released her eggs in several different directions. Some went to space, the rest got scattered across the globe. These eggs were the Angels. That's why 15 years later, they came back.

So in conclusion to my long a** rant, Adam and Adam-based lifeforms are very different from Lilith and Lilith-based lifeforms. Adam is far from an Angel, and Lilith is even farther. The end. xD
