<< [ Functionality ] >> Long, extremely straight black hair that falls down to her middle back, often with two ribbons braided into locks, one on each side of her head. She also usually has a lock of hair tied up on the right side of her head. Kanon generally tends to wear mostly blues, generally lighter colors, mixed in with some grays, whites, and occasional blacks. Most of her clothing is made from durable and light cloth, although Kanon is the type who can wear dark clothing without dying of sweat, even in the Kes'sarrian climate. Kanon is also the type to put functionality over fanciness, all of her fashion decisions have relatively solid reasons behind them.

She wears a blue-gray long-sleeved turtleneck below a strapless short dress, with a gray belt around her hips. She wears black bracers and light blue fingerless gloves beneath the turtleneck, Kanon is ambidextrous and so pulls her bow along either arm, hence the bracers on both forearms. Beneath the dress are gray-cobalt blue legging-like shorts that reach to her mid-thigh, below which are black tights the thickness of socks. She wears plain brown boots that come up to just an inch or so below her knee, with a bit of a folded over section at the top. These boots have heels that don't contribute much to Kanon's height (partially due to her ability to appear to shrink.) Kanon also has a simple but durable white leather quiver, with her longbow and arrows stowed in it, usually slung over her shoulder. On the back/side of her belt is a plain gray belt pouch, inside of which are basic supplies, etc, along with a small supply of crossbow bolts. [it doesn't hurt to be prepared?!] Also, she carries a fan with her. The reason? It seems to change depending on her mood....

<< [ Composite Longbow ] >> A composite longbow that she made herself, with little help. Made for efficiency and functionality, not appearance. She knows how to use a crossbow, although she doesn't own one. Kanon is also rather confident in her athleticism, she is rather flexible and can hold her own at least for a little bit, without her bow.

<<< [ Single ] >>> Single and although she isn't above a few casual relationships, Kanon has no interest whatsoever in staying tied down, not at this point at least!

<<< [ Lively ] >>> Always the type to take what she's given and run with it, Kanon doesn't take many things for granted in life. Although she often has a tendency to make decisions on a whim, Kanon also has quite a bit of confidence, leading her to generally believe that she's always the correct one, or that the side she chooses to ally herself with is or was correct. Kanon also has a few violent tendencies, particularly when her short patience runs out. She can also be a little flirtatious, although she rarely seriously means it. She's also sometimes a bit of a show-off, and is easily insulted. Kanon is very determined and doesn't like to give up on anything, generally seeing whatever she's started all the way to the finish. She is also very trustworthy and loyal, although she does lie sometimes. If you give her a reason (and it had better be a good one!) to be loyal to you, she'll follow you to the ends of the earth. Otherwise, she's a bit of an opportunist and works for her own greater good most of the time. However self-confident she may seem, Kanon isn't one to put much store by appearances, preferring functionality and efficiency over fanciness.

<<< [ Kes'sarrian ] >>> Kanon was born to a very well-off Kes'sarrian trader who specialized in trading the most luxurious silks, in return for various spices. Her mother was a very graceful woman who taught Kanon various elegant skills, things that she would need to become a "proper Kes'sarrian lady," while her father taught her about his trade, seeing as she was their oldest child. This started from when she was around five, and proceeded for around seven years, until Kanon was twelve. At that point, two things happened to change the track of Kanon's life.

The first was a curiosity as to why she had to do this. The second was a little brother.

Kanon quickly used the excuse of a younger sibling to get out of the lessons her parents had for her, shoving her responsibilities onto the infant boy. Although she didn't actually run away, (although such threats were occasionally made), Kanon basically told her parents outright, "I'm not going to play your tune anymore," and her parents had the choice of either accepting that Kanon wasn't going to follow their mold and letting her do whatever the heck she wanted, or fight a probably never-ending battle to rein Kanon in. Taking the easy way out, they allowed Kanon to do what she wanted to do, although she still holds some loyalty to her family, even to this day, and still sticks around with them.

Her life didn't change much when her little brother was born. Prior to his birth, Kanon's family was part of a trading caravan. Her memories of this are rather hazy, seeing as once Kanon was around seven, her mother moved her back to the Kes'sarria homelands and raised her, while her father remained with the caravan, still coming back to visit occasionally. He was enormously successful and so Kanon and her mother didn't have to do much heavy labor to support themselves, although they were far from rich and well-established. Once her little brother was born, her father began visiting more often, and Kanon decided that she wanted to do what she wanted to do instead, resulting in her time schedule shifting slightly.

Life continued on normally for Kanon and her family, until Kes'sarria declared war on Wistera, and all of those related events happened. Because of the border closings, Kanon's father was no longer able to trade as freely, and so he used part of their saved up money to buy property and lease a general store, selling a little bit of practically anything. Although Kanon's father possibly could have continued his trader occupation, a large part of his decision to quit was because the border closings were such a large change, and seemed like they would just make trading a lot harder. (Kanon's father, in case you couldn't tell, can be a bit of a lazy man.)
