I'm pissed. They canceled Reading Rainbow!!! This year!!! PBS won't fork over the money to renew the show's broadcasting rights. It's a couple hundred thousand dollars, but still. It's Reading Rainbow!!! It teaches kids why they should read! Grrr...
They're going to put more money into shows that teach kids how to read instead of instilling the desire to read in kids. So they'll be more shows focused on phonics and reading fundamentals. Gay.
I hope they at least play reruns...

OMG i LOVED Reading Rainbow (so many memories) i LOVED that theme song i always sang along xd the show was just MAGICAL.... and it did make you want to read....lol

Since I was already a reader, Reading Rainbow didn't do much for me... however, I did love the theme song XD It annoyed me at first, but it grew on me <3

I've always been a reader, but it was still nice to see a show about books with Geordi in it. I loved him in Startrek so it tickled me pink to see him in a show about books. Two of my favorite things in one place *contented sigh*
