It’d been a few days since Cammi and Bianca had taken their tour and learned, at least partially of classrooms five and seven and their lack of official use. Though the pair had planned to investigate them the day after their tour both had been sidetracked by more pressing matters like the need to attend their actual classes. Now though they had a bit of time to spare and they’d agreed to use it to check out the somewhat mysterious rooms.

“ I hope whatever is in them is worth it.” Cammi’s time might not the most valuable in the world but she didn’t like to waste it regardless. Michael’s stating that students weren’t encouraged use the rooms gave them an air of intrigue and Cammi hoped the warning of sorts meant something exciting was in store. The blonde didn’t do boring well and if the room’s were inhabited at the time it might look strange for her and Bi just to walk in and then walk out again if they didn’t see anything of interest.

“Just satisfying our curiosity is.” Bianca pointed out as they reached the classroom lined hall. The desire to know what lay in the rooms would eat at them until they found out. Better to risk being disappointed than never know. The silver haired girl pulled a coin from her pocket and tossed it into the air with a flick of her thumb. “Heads seven, tails five.” Easiest way to decide which room the checkout without splitting up and at the moment Bianca wanted to keep an eye on Cammi.

The coin landed heads up on the girl's outstretched palm and it was the door to classroom seven then that Cammi moved to open.

Lucien glared at Z's back as the older boy jumped out the window, headed towards the streets of Death City. So much for that. But it was alright, since Lucien had things to do as well, and today should be a relatively slow day for the shop. He arched his arms over his back in a feline stretching movement before getting to his feet, leaving the comfort of the plush armchair he had been lounging upon.

Time to get to work.

He had just taken a few steps towards where the goods were stored when the sound of movement from the other side of the door reached his ears. Pausing midstep, he changed directions, putting a smile on his face as he stood, facing the door with his head tilted slightly to the side.

The smile, while it appeared genuine, became slightly more so as he noticed the gender of the pair that stepped through the doorway. Lucien stepped forward, hand stretching out in preparation for a handshake as he greeted the pair. "Why hello, welcome! I'm Lucien."

Well damn this place was worthwhile. As she shook Lucien's hand Cammi grinned. " Hey, I'm Cammi what is this place?" More importantly who had funded the decorating of it? She had a feeling the staff lounge probably wasn't as luxurious as this. Cammi's normally high level of energy was mostly contained for the moment though the tips of her fingers on her free hand drummed against the side of her leg. It was hard to feel too restless in the presence of this guy for some reason. The green eyed male seemed to have Cammi's full attention, for now anyways.

"Bianca," The weapon girl introduced herself and moved to explore the room further. Her blonde partner might be charmed by Lucien but Bianca found him unnerving. She was too proud and stubborn to be intimidated by people who towered over her like he did but it still made her uncomfortable to stand too close to tall strangers. That and she was the physical sort, it was one thing to see the beauty of the room it was another to feel the textures of the fabrics on furniture and the finish on wooden objects with her own hands.

Grinning back at Cammi, Lucien shook the hand that had appeared in his own, allowing his touch to linger slightly before gently letting it drop. He noticed the fingers drumming against the thigh, and made a mental note that this particular girl was probably quite incapable of staying still for very long. "This, is CLASSROOM #7. Though..." A half smiled played along his lips, "I'm sure you knew that, didn't you?"

He turned slightly, angling himself to watch both Bianca and Cammi at the same time. He was a little curious about the way the shorter girl had merely stated her name and walked past - he was used to more reaction from girls (and boys) than that. But he noticed the way she headed towards the furnishings in the room, and found himself slightly amused that he'd be slighted over something like that. Though he had to admit, the room decor was quite astounding to the uninitiated.

Taking a step back from the door, he gestured over to the plush armchairs by the fireplace. "Would you two like to settle down, make yourselves comfortable?" Playing host was not one of his favorite things to do, but one had to be flexible and appear genial at all times, especially with his reputation. Being popular took quite a lot more work than it appeared. "I don't believe either of you have been here before, so if there's anything you'd like to know, at all," his voice deepened, took on a smoky edge, "feel free to ask."

" What exactly is the purpose of this place?" Cammi asked and she moved swiftly across the room with long strides. It looked interesting enough and sort of like one of those fancy members only clubs you saw on boring daytime tv dramas. The blond technician was a bit torn about how to felt about CLASSROOM #7. Appearance was it was pleasing and at least one of it's inhabitant was sort of charming. Still, she didn't know if it was place she was going to be spending much time, wouldn't know until she figured out what it was used for.

Bianca grabbed the chair next to Cammi and relaxed a bit though the scythe girl remained wary. It was not so much Lucien's height now or even his manner, which was soothing to be honest, but general alertness. They were new to the school and Bianca was unsure if hazing was a normal practice here. This place almost seemed too good to be true, functioning with the staffs heads turned away from it and all while using official school property. It was possible she was over thinking things though, being too defensive and critical.

" Is this classrooms goings on connected with whatever happens in the other non official classroom?." Chances were the white haired boy knew what was going on over these as well. If Lucien remained open and calm while he answered their questions perhaps Bianca could fully relax and revert to her preferred more optimistic and content mental state.

Walking over to the small kitchenette set discreetly into one corner of the room, Lucien glanced over his shoulder, green eyes politely questioning as he asked, "Would you two ladies like a drink?" For himself, he pulled out a can of coke - he would have much preferred something alcoholic, but the pair seemed wary enough as it was, and finding there was liquor in the premises would only make it worse. Reaching over, he flipped a glass the right way up and began to pour, eyes still fixed on the two now seated on the plush chairs.

"CLASSROOM #7? It sells... things." An eloquent shrug. "Things that help you in battle, or just for fun." Green eyes turned slightly piercing as he finished pouring the can of coke, setting it aside. "You two knew that before coming here, though. I suppose you could also call it a hangout room of sorts." People came here to socialize and play games, usually spending a bit of time before moving on to the actual purpose of their visit. Both he and Z preferred it that way, as it gave them ample opportunity to get to know their customers before the transaction.

Lucien tilted his head, face taking on a slightly amused cast. "The other? You mean #5?" His voice took on a husky edge as he remembered his dealings in that particular classroom just yesterday. One of the unpartnered girl students... that had been fun. "Not... really. Though items can be used there sometimes." He grinned, a surprisingly boyish expression that allowed made him appear much more youthful than he normally did. Lifting the glass to his lips, he paused halfway. "I'm not sure if that makes you feel better or worse, though."

Bianca resisted the urge the blush, okay so maybe the tall green eyed boy wasn't so bad after all. Lucien seemed to have reasonable and logical explanations for things as well as an open manner that was pleasant to deal with. " It makes me both more and less curious at the same time," she replied. "I'll drink whatever's cold and carbonated," she added in response to his earlier question. Her fingers continued to run over the upholstery on the armchairs, it was quite luxurious and she wondered if it had been paid for by the obvious success of the classroom's business aspect.

Cammi was glad to see Bianca relaxing a bit, her partner was overly defensive and suspicious at times. In some ways she was still the independent and curious little girl Cammi had met years ago on the playground. in others she was totally different, having changed and defined herself over the years. The blond had always found her to be fairly friendly once assured the environment was safe though.

As long as Lucien was pimping out ephedrine or anabolic steroids she didn't much care what he sold. Though she might make a purchase or two in the future if she spotted something she liked and could afford then. " I'll have whatever you get Bi." She crossed and uncrossed her legs while watching Lucien.

At the two's stated preference over drinks, Lucien nodded, setting his glass down on the counter to turn and pull out another two cokes from the minifridge. Setting those down, he deftly flipped another two glasses, almost delicately dropping a few icecubes into each before flicking open the cans, and pouring both at the same time with smooth, graceful movements. Picking them up, he strode over to the seating area, setting them down with a slight flourish. "Here you two go. Enjoy!" Green eyes flashed wickedly for merely a second before Lucien turned to retrieve his own drink, he'd noticed Cammi's legs, but perhaps it would be better to ignore that for now.

Settling himself down in another plush armchair set at an angle to the pair, Lucien resumed their previous conversation. "More and less curious. Hmm..." One long, elegant finger tapped against the cold glass as he considered Bianca's response. An eyebrow arched as Lucien's green eyes searched the girl's face quizzically. "How so, exactly?" He leaned forward, setting elbows on knees before guessing, "Curious about what exactly it is we sell? Or what happens here? Or in CLASSROOM #5?" Lucien paused for a moment before shrugging lightly. "Well, you have only to ask."

As he waited, he studied the two while appearing utterly relaxed. Bianca still seemed to be fascinated by the furnishings, and he wondered why, and what she was thinking while she did it. Perhaps wondering where it had all come from? Or perhaps she wasn't used to such finery... Either way, though, the two seemed to be calming down a bit, which was definitely good. Leaning back in the chair, Lucien took yet another sip of his coke, suppressing a grimace. He should definitely have slipped some Bacardi into this crap.

Blue eyes had narrowed just a little to watch Lucien's hands as he prepared the drinks. It nothing to do with how much or how little Cammi might trust her host though, not that she thought harming potential customers was in the white haired you man's business plan. Sort of a bad bad idea if he wanted people to return and help to keep this place secret. No it wasn't a trust issue that had the technician watching him so closely. It was how deftly Lucien moved his hands that caught her attention, the finesse with which he performed the relatively simple task of drink making. Cammi wondered if it came from the time he'd spent here or if he'd trained his hands to be like that before. Regardless she appreciated the show of skill, her own hands were strong but not quite as dexterous or fast. She rock climbed and used them to grip things and brace herself for the most part. It was her core, legs and feet that were more highly developed by the daredevil girl.

"Thanks." The blonde flashed him a small grin when her drink was set down for her. She could get used to this on occasion, maybe she'd stop by after class or something every now and then just to be social. Well provided they had similar enough interests to talk about. Lucien was cute enough but Cammi couldn't imagine herself being one of those girls who hung around a guy just because he looked good. Then again she'd never been the type to just hang around anywhere. Some sort of entertainment was required.

"Your tone of voice told me enough to know I am now less curious about classroom five." Bianca had not missed the edge his voice had gained when briefly explaining it. Not even with Cammi was she generally comfortable being physically close and that was in a platonic manner. Anything of the implied nature that went on in the other spare classroom was nothing the mohawke'd girl was interested in. Nor did she particularly want to know what sort of items this place sold that could be used in there. Okay a small deviant part of her brain was curious about that but in general anything to do with classroom five was no longer of interest to Bianca

" I would like to know more about what sort of things you have that are helpful in battle" The weapon girl admitted though. Not that she would need them though Bianca thought. She was sure she was capable of handling any mission they threw at her and Cammi, they were an adaptable and determined team . Though stories from her parents told Bianca that logically things wouldn't be as easy as she imagined the girl was pretty damn sure that having years of knowing her technician would be a bonus. She and Cammi were long past the awkward get to know each other stage and they could read each other pretty well. Nevermind that the scythe girl had too much pride to use any sort of aid in battle.

"No problem." Lucien flashed a quick smile in Cammi's direction before turning to face Bianca. "My tone of voice?" A raised brow invited Bianca to elaborate on her lack of interest in CLASSROOM #5 if she so wished, although Lucien put no pressure in the question - he was pretty sure he could find the reasons behind it if he wished, given his sources of information. He guessed, intuitively, that it was perhaps due to a lack of interest in that aspect of life on Bianca's part... but who knew? Perhaps the girl simply liked her rendezvous to be a little more private.

The mention of items for battle reminded Lucien that he had intended to keep some of those items around for himself, not because they needed the additional boost, as they were currently one of the more advanced and skilled pairs in the school, but because he had a reputation to maintain. Failing a mission was definitely not on his list of allowable situations. "Lets see..." he began thoughtfully, his concentration split between considering items for himself, and those that would suit the pair seated before him, though any observer would never have noticed the shift in attention, "Right now we have metal dust, which will increase your attack power for one attack. Hmm," Lucien took a long gulp from his drink before eyeing the others with a considering light in his green eyes. "If you're up for a bit of risk, there's also Z's flask."

He hadn't asked, and was pretty sure Z would never tell, about the contents of the flask. But it worked, and that was all that mattered. They'd named the thing after Z, since it suited his temperament perfectly.

"Let me guess, you two have yet to go on your first mission?" The pair looked very much like they knew eachother well, but there was hardly that edge that usually indicated they'd been through tough situations together. Plus, he hadn't heard anything about them, which suggested they were relatively new. "How long have you two been at SHIBUSEN for?"

Bianca sipped at her cold fizzy drink while she listened to Lucien talk. She liked the way the carbonated cola chilled and burned her tongue at the same time before she swallowed and it rushed down her throat. Not the healthiest of drinks to be sure but not the worst either and she’d work off the calories anyways on the jog home. As long as she kept everything fairly balanced between exercise and how many calories she ate Bianca had learned over the years that she could eat pretty much whatever she wanted. The young woman imagined that her time at Shibusen would probably affect this a little though. Perhaps a few more smoothies and granola bars to make sure she had extra energy to burn off during the day and before missions and whatnot.

“They both sound useful.” No one sold risky things like the aforementioned flask without making sure it was worth the risk. “I imagine they are priced accordingly then.” Things like supply and demand would come into play of course as well. Not to mention the cost of the materials, cost of labour to get the items in acceptable sellable order and so on and so forth. Not that Bianca had ever run a business outside of a lemonade stand herself, most of what she knew came from her older brother Charlie talking aloud while he worked through his homework.

The weapon girl bristled slightly at Lucien’s question, what did she and Cammi not look like they belonged, like they weren’t good enough to have completed a mission yet?

Cammi noticed the shift in Bi’s position immediately , hell she’d pretty much anticipated it. The blonde knew what set her partner off most of the time these days. “Just a couple of days though we grew up in the area.” The technician figured she should probably cut Bi off at least for now anyways. If the line of questioning continued and got derogatory she’d sit back and let the scythe girl tear him a new one. Bi was pretty awesome to watch when she got mad enough, and Cammi wasn’t above living vicariously through the other girl as she vented her anger. “And no we haven’t gone on a mission yet.” Yet being the keyword there.
PostPosted: Wed Sep 09, 2009 11:47 pm

"Pricing, yeah. We try to keep it fair, mostly, considering that our clients are usually students." Lucien shrugged. "It's just hobby of sorts, and allows my partner and I to make sure of some of the things we've managed to acquire and source." As long as the shop was making some slight profit, the money issue didn't matter to either of them. Lucien had his father, and some other interests on the side, and Z... well, Z had been essentially on his own for years before SHIBUSEN, the WEAPON could definitely look out for himself.

He noticed the change in Bianca's attitude when he mentioned their mission, and though he hadn't expected quite a reaction, he mentally cursed himself for not thinking ahead before speaking like he usually did. Judging by the way Bianca had conducted herself in the ten or so minutes they'd been in the CLASSROOM, Lucien doubted the effectiveness of a simple "I meant no offense", and was considering the best possible approach when Cammi spoke again.

Inclining his head to acknowledge the statements, Lucien turned to face Bianca fully, allowing his eyes and face to take on a sincere expression as he responded more to the potential of a dispute rather than the content of Cammi's words. "I was merely stating that there is a very subtle difference between pairs that have done their first mission and those who have not. It is not blatantly obvious, but for those who know how to look, it is there." Cocking his head to consider the pair once again, he continued, "I can tell, even after a few minutes in your company, that you two are quite close, and that will only add to your mission's success. And," Lucien paused, debating whether or not he should suggest this, or whether it would merely serve to worsen the situation, "it may not be my place to say so, but the missions aren't always easy - sometimes they can be something akin to a trial rather than routine practice." It was that, the trial aspect of the first mission, that showed between pairs that had already gone out in the field together, and those that hadn't. No amount of friendship or wavelength connection could replace it.

This particular pair was interesting, he mused. In some ways, Bianca much reminded him of Z, and he wondered how a meeting between the two would pan out. It was a pity that his partner had already left to do his own thing, but then again, perhaps with Z here the situation would only have ended up being worse - his partner was not known for his tact, and was rather infamous for his brutal honesty.

" A trial is just a fancy word for challenge and if people can't handle challenges they need to get the ******** out of the way for people who can." Cammi pointed out with a tinge of excitement laced enthusiasm in her voice. "Neither of us expects a cakewalk and we wouldn't want one, if this was easy anyone could do it and we wouldn't be here." Sure she wanted to make the world a safer place but if Shibusen had been nothing more than a slightly more weird version of ghostbusters she'd never have attended. Hell if it didn't provide the challenge and adrenaline she craved Cammi was going to be out anyways. It was serious business and if she lacked the motivation to actually do a good job and put her all into it she'd get herself or Bi killed. The blonde technician thought things might go a bit smoother in the whole partnership and wielding department becuase of their friendship but she had never assumed things would be simple. She didn't want simple.

Bianca nodded as much in response to Lucien's words as to Cammi's. The shorter but older girl understood the logic of the green eyed boy's words and had nothing more to add to the conversation for the moment. Her mind was more focused on musing on what had been said and trying to figure out how she really felt about all this. Already Shibusen was proving to be more trying than she had anticipated. Or perhaps it was merely Lucien who seemed frustratingly good at accidentally forcing her into emotional shifts. Vaugely she wondered if he did this to everyone, Cammi seemed completely unbothered by him.
PostPosted: Thu Sep 10, 2009 10:22 pm

Though Lucien privately agreed with Cammi's sentiment regarding the missions, he opted for a slightly more moderate viewpoint as he responded, "I believe that missions just take more preparation for some compared to others, though it is definitely a bonus if you don't walk in expecting it to be easy." Nevermind that Z and him had done exactly that - he doubted that this particular pair had their level of expertise, not to mention the resources required to find and attempt illegal missions before doing their first official one. Even so, they had been wary and on guard during their first unofficial mission... absently, Lucien wondered how often they'd be doing those now, since they'd found out that the souls obtained that way didn't count towards Z's actual development.

Bringing his thoughts back to the present, Lucien smiled as he lifted his glass in a toast, as though the glasses were slender crystal rather than regular glass, and their contents were champagne instead of soda. "Wish you two the best with your mission. Perhaps you guys can come back to celebrate afterwards? I'd love to hear how it goes."

Taking a deep sip, Lucien placed the glass gently back onto the table, fingers uncurling from around the glass elegantly before he used his hand to indicate the pool table on the far side of the room. "Would either of you ladies be up for a game of pool?" He was aware of Bianca's thoughtful silence, and was grateful that the shorter girl had decided against reading an insult into his previous observations. Perhaps moving onto another activity other than small-talk would be better for the pair, since neither seemed much inclined to find topics of conversation. In his experience, girls tended to talk and relax more while doing another activity, and he had always been partial to girls playing pool.

Both girls had raised and tipped their glasses in response to Lucien's toast. With Cammi it was a programmed response combined with the fact that she was thirsty. The fact that she was more than willing to accept the offered luck was a bonus. The faintest beginnings of a blush showed on the blonde's cheeks at the green eyed boy's invitation to return. Even if Bianca declined Cammi'd probably stop by even if it was just briefly. She was startign to find Lucien to be quite interesting.

Bianca's fingers had wrapped around her slightly sweating glass for a moment and small smile had tugged at her lips before she placed the cup to them. She was calmer now and a bit more aware that her mood was highly fluctuating today, something she needed to watch for. Her eyes lit up at the mention of pool, now that was something that could be interesting. She had only ever played a few times but it had always been pretty fun. " That would be fine, I'd like that."

Cammi shrugged and nodded "Sure." She'd always found the overall game a bit slow but sort of cool with the sudden sharp strikes of the cue towards the balls after several minutes of lining up or whatever. " I'm sort of new at it though" she admitted. Hopefully not so much that she held Lucien or Bianca up though, Cammi liked to consider herself a fast learner anyways. It'd be a challenge though and allow her to bleed off some of the pent up energy she was starting to store. Plus she was curious to see Lucien's hands working the cue and whatnot.

" Are there regular games held in here?" Cammi asked curiously. It might be beneficial to come by and watch a few games or get more practice in if there was the possibility she might be able to play on a regular basis. Pool was supposed to be one of those sports good for teaching you angles and stuff which could have a practical application for her later. Not that Cammi generally tended to mix her fun with whatever she was doing outside of it but sports with bonus payoffs weren't something the technician girl was about to turn down.
