ok, so I used my master ball on giratina, and now I can't catch heatran. Anyone have any good catching techniques? D:

wait till you win the lottery, first prize is supposed to be a masterball. or rely on symptoms, sleep paralyed, ect.
and stock up on timerballs and pokemon with high defense. wait him out weaken him and let time win the battle for you.

I taught one of my Pokemon Thunder Wave, and I used a Pokemon that knew False Swipe, and I think I caught him with a Luxury Ball. Or maybe that was Giratina I caught with a Luxury Ball.
But stock up on all kinds of Pokeballs.

Try using lots of Dusk Balls in addition to Ultra balls; they have a high success rate in the dark cave where Heatran resides.
Also, get a reliable sleep-inducer, and False Swipe helps. Actually I'm raising a Gallade who knows both Hypnosis and False Swipe to be my sleep-inducer. biggrin
