OMFG! I love knitting! I need more yarn, guys! I. NEED. MORE. YARN! scream Lol, I want to knit a dress!! I'm pretty tall and skinny so I really don't know how I can get the dress to fit me unless I measure myself and everything. I'm a lazy bum so I'll be knitting it with my Knifty Knitter loom. Yeah, well, the dress is for a cosplay costume for an anime convention in October! I'm 5'3 so I'm going to need a lot of yarn. This is the person I'm going as.

man i miss that show. it was funny cute and weird. but i loved it, lol. man you are gonna need butt load of yarn, lol. well seeing as it's already September you don't have much time to be lazy and bumming around. what convention are you going to? i need to finish my scarf before November. since im going to Anime USA. so yea im knitting like crazy right now, lol.

Well, I went as Radical Edward for Colossal Con in June. It was my first convention and it was AMAZING. I didn't get many pictures taken so I was sad. Anyway, I'm going to Sugoi Con. This one is held in Kentucky. The other one was held in Sandusky, OH. I'm in Cincinnati so I won't be driving too far. Yep, well Sugoi is during the Halloween weekend. I'm 20 years old and I'm kinda old to go out trick or treating, you know? *Cough* Even though I look like a freshman in high school. I'm knitting my entire cosplay only because I can't sew with a machine. I did it in Home Ec. and failed horribly on pajama bottoms.
You're a knitter, right or do you crotchet? I had a question about joining everything together to complete the dress. I do like the mattress seam, but I use 100% acrylic and it doesn't do well with blocking so I can't block it before seaming. Should I just whipstitch it or do the running stitch seam? The mattress seam is bulky on the wrong side and it feels so uncomfortable.

oh ok. wow i will be in Virginia in Nov, lol. but wow that's cool that you had a good time at your first anime convention. lol oh ok. Well sewing isn't all that hard. i sew but by hand. and it's rather time consuming. i wish i had a machine to make things easier for me. But i have to wait on that, lol.
Yea im a knitter but just a beginner. and i haven't learned how to crotchet just yet. im sure one of the members here will let you know which one will be the best outcome for joining something. because i don't really know, lol. sorry sweatdrop

Lol meep. I forgot! Well, don't ever block acrylic yarn because you'll kill it and you'll ruin the piece. >_<
I guess I could just hand sew the fabric, but after seeing that cool Vocaloid knitted cosplay of Miku, I just HAD to knit my own outfit. This time I'll get more pictures taken!!! lol

lol it's ok. well thanks for that info. i will do my best to remember, lol.
Awww Miku = heart i love Vocaloids, lol. i have never seen a cosplay outfit knitted. i also think knitting a cosplay outfit takes more time then it does sewing one by machine. but then again, that's my opinion, lol.

lol wow 15 hours. you have to rest once in a while, lol. i know your fingers will hurt. well at least mine do after a long while of knitting, lol. my scarf is still not done, but it's getting long. i wanna finish it already so i can get to work on some other scarfs i wanna make for my mom and grandma. they are both cancer survivors and i wanna knit them a pink scarf for Christmas.

I started a new project myself. i kinda put my scarf on hold for now because a couple of weeks ago i found out that im going to be an aunt. So as a gift for my older bro and my sis in-law, im making them a baby blanket. i got some baby soft yarn. it's a Lemon color. plus he or she will be born in june, so it's gonna be hot. but you know how babies are. so once i get more into the blanket i will take a picture of it. so far it's really cute, lol. im all excited for it to be done. i tend to stay up late at night knitting, lol.

Aww!! Hehe! Will this be your first niece or nephew? I've got so many nieces and nephews. I've got a few great nieces too! My other sister wants me to knit her friend a pink and blue blanket. Her friend is going to have twins.
Now for my Milk-chan outfit, I'm knitting the first panel which will be the front part of the outfit and once I finish that, I'll start on the back of it and then the sleeves. I'm so excited.

lol yea this is gonna be my first nephew or niece, lol. i r happeh! lol yea and my bro just got maried in june, lol. these guys work fast, lol. still im happy. just can't wait to finish the blanket and give it to her for the baby shower, lol. Oh wow twins! wel good luck with that and i hope it comes out great!
oh wow! well that's good that your working on the front panel first. seeing as it has more to do then the back. but yea, i would love to see how it looks when your done.

Oh wow. First niece or nephew. You'll enjoy being an aunt. I absolutely love it, lol. I just don't want my nieces and nephews calling me "Auntie CeCe" because it makes me sound old. crying
I'll be taking pictures of my cosplay outfit when it's finished. I'd like to see that baby blanket of yours.
