A dense jungle, there is no clearing, therefore the battle must take place in between trees and such. The trees are rather large, and seem to be easy to climb.

Karixa enjoyed taking her time walking through the jungle. Nature was very relaxing for Karixa, and her spirits were already high from knowing she would soon be sparring. Of course, she wasn't the only one. Tama bounced around in the back of her head, humming a cheery tune. She came to the spot where Xeno was waiting and waved pleasantly. We gonna play soon, yeah? The spirit was very excited, as he usually was when fun was promised. "Ready to go?" A characteristic grin broke across the woman's face, as she guessed what the answer might be. She would start as she usually did. With the preliminaries.

The captain chuckled, pleased to see her opponent was in as good spirits as she was. "What say you Tama...?" Surprise him. "I figured." She changed her stance, holding her empty arms at the ready. A small 'click' could be heard and the blades slid from out of her boots, and she jumped forward. Her first move was a simple kick at him, made much more threatening by the blade sticking out from her boot. She loved her boots. Tama loved them too. They let him watch for a bit.

It was lucky she was a lot better with her boots then with her sealed zanpakutou. Otherwise she wouldn't be having nearly the amount of fun she was having. Since her foot was already up she slammed her foot down so that as the sword came up, she could use it to jump up. That meant she was in the air when the kido was thrown at her. In retrospect, she should have excepted that from a member of the fifth squad. It threw her back into a tree, and she landed in the branches. She grabbed the branch she had fallen onto and swung down to the ground, chuckling. My, my, you don't look like you can handle this without me. "No, that was just way too fun. Still, if your offering..." A child's laugh rang out in Karixa's head, followed by the words, Let us play. Karixa drew her sword with a smile then flicked the tip of the blade. "Play me a tune, Jokyoku." The sword morphed into the familiar hand chime set up. With a swing of the sword she spoke quietly, "Whistle Slash." The whistling the opening of the sword made hung in the air as the distortion in the air that was the sound attack flew at Xeno.

A neat slash appeared on the tree where the attack hit, being the less powerful of her two attacks. Let's make that tree disappear, ne? "As you like." She dashed up to the tree and thrust the sword into the tree, only penetrating a little bit. Still, that would be enough. "Chime Pulse." The tree appeared to explode from this threat, the high branches falling to the side. Though trees were living they acted like solids. They were fun to play with that way. There was a giggle in the back of Karixa's head, Tama being well pleased with random stuff exploding. "Let's keep the hiding to a minimum, yes?" Karixa's grin was rather intimidating at times, but it was just the captain having fun.

Karixa continued smiling, enjoying this fight. Xeno was very interesting to fight, being very kido based. She watched him jump, and 'watched' where he landed, taking a step to the side and blocking where he was slashing. She relied heavily on the map in her head for what was going on around her, finding it more reliable then looking at things. "You're loads of fun you know that?" She jumped back and sent another Whistle Slash at him, saying, "If you weren't already taken by the Fifth squad I'd say come on over to the Ninth. Too bad about that."
