This is a little different than what most of y'all have been posting. This book is a comedy and far from what you would think of. The book is called "Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal." Now, Moore's take on this is... something else. Basically he surrounds Joshua (Jesus) with a bunch of crazy lunatics, a pervy best friend and an adventure to Asia. The lunatics are the disciples. One is mentally ill and thinks he has a twin brother. His best friend Biff likes to sleep around and get them both into trouble.

It's specials and I love it. Here's an excerpt from Moore's website and here's a little more detail from Wikipedia.

I was actually thinking of making a thread for him yesterday.

I've only read Lamb but I loved it and plan on reading more of his books in the future.

It was great. I loved his twist on Jesus's lost years. My husband has A Dirty Job by Moore too. Haven't read it yet.

Yeah it really was. I loved the part with the great wall of China. It just made me laugh... Unfortunately out loud and it was in the middle (I had finished but a lot of people hadn't) of a science test.

I liked how he made all the disciples literally, certifiably INSANE. I'm sure they were considered insane to follow Jesus around back in real life, but I love the insanity. It was so... cute. John the Baptist was insanely great with wanting to drown the unclean people and doing sneak attacks.

It makes me sigh with content heart
