This book is one of those books that sweeps the best seller list not because its touching or deep, but because its quirky and you just can't stop thinking about it once you see it on the shelf.
It was an excellent book. I never was able to get through Pride and Prejudice, but somehow, with the ten or so scenes with Zombies and the occasional mention of the manky unmentionables made this rather dry regency classic so much more tolerable. Elizabeth was not only a more interesting character, but I found all the characters had taken on a different light when they were sword wielding and strong.
Although there are long portions of the book that are as dry as the source material, the constant zombie action scenes really helped keep a story that generally felt like a bunch of talk and silliness interesting and fun.
Has anyone else read this book, or are you reading it? Would anyone be interested in possibly discussing the questions in the back of the book? I think that would be a fun activity.
