http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WV-wYvM5VM <-- the same word in Hebrew used for the word "soul" in reguards to humans is also used in the exact same reguards to animals Proverbs 12:10 - A righteous man cares for the needs of his animal, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel. It also says and Jesus tells us to take care of our animals, "Even the dogs get the crumbs from the masters table", and in Revelations, he tells us that in the last days, "breaking the neck of a dog will be like breaking the neck of a man". Also, something kinda kool that happened: Numbers 22: 22-30, “God was angry that Balaam was going, and as Balaam was riding along on his donkey, accompanied by his two servants, the angel of the Lord stood in the road to bar his way. When the donkey saw the angel standing there holding a sword, it left the road and turned into the fields. Balaam beat the donkey and brought it back onto the road. Then the angel stood where the road narrowed between two vineyards and had a stone wall on each side. When the donkey saw the angel, it moved over against the wall and crushed Balaams foot against it. Again Balaam beat the donkey. Once more the angel moved ahead; he stood in a narrow place where there was no room at all to pass on either side. This time, when the donkey saw the angel, it lay down. Balaam lost his temper and began to beat the donkey with his stick. Then the Lord gave the donkey the power of speech, and it said to Balaam, ‘What have I done to you? Why have you beaten me these three times?’ Balaam answered, ‘Because you have made a fool of me! If I had a sword, I would kill you.’ The donkey replied, ‘Am I not the same donkey on which you have ridden all your life? Have I ever treated you like this before?’ ‘No,’ he answered.” Numbers 22: 31-35, “Then the Lord let Balaam see the angel standing there with his sword; and Balaam threw himself face downward on the ground. The angel demanded, ‘Why have you beaten your donkey three times like this? I have come to bar your way, because you should not be making this journey. But your donkey saw me and turned aside three times. If it hadn’t, I would have killed you and spared the donkey.’ Balaam replied, ‘I have sinned. I did not know that you were standing in the road to oppose me; but now if you think it is wrong for me to go on, I will return home.’”

also, one of the reasons god sent his son into the world to die for us was also because he said (can't remember exact wording), "I take no pleasure in the blood of animals."
In addition... no one started eating meat, until after the great flood and there was no vegetation left. Also, the first person recorded to eat meat in the bible was like Noah's grandson (have generations mixed up, going off of memory) and he wasn't a very nice guy.... sweatdrop
Also, he told the Jews only to kill animals in a way that was without pain.

I believe that animals go to Heaven because they have a soul and are one of God's creations. They have done no wrong, nor have they done good...they are in a sense ignorant. Hell is a place for the "bad" things... hard to explain what the bad things are...like those who denied Jesus and never repented...I guess. I can't say who exactly hell is reserved for because that is not my place. So forgive me for being a bit vague. But animals are different. They are not on the same intelligence level as humans, therefore do not have to be tested and tried in their mortal life, such as humans do.

I believe animals go to Heaven because they are God's creation, and every thing God creates is good. Animals have done no wrong, so therefore they don't deserve to go to hell. Hell is reserved for "bad". I can't be too specific on who will or won't go to hell, because that is not my place. Animals aren't on the same intelligence level as humans, they don't have to go through the same trials and learning experiences as we do in our life time as humans. The animals were simply sent to earth to gain a physical body and then do what animals do. But humans were sent to earth to gain a physical body, to be tried and tested, and to choose whom we are going to serve.

I really have no clue. Maybe when we are caught up, and the New Heaven and the New Earth are created, animals will cease to exist. Heaven has always been an exclusively human destination as a reward. I was always told, "Well you go and talk to that cat and see if it will repent and accept Jesus as it's Savior. You go see how that works out." Which makes sense because our salvation lies in our distinctly human ability to verbally confess that Jesus is LORD.

But, animals are without sin, and thus do not need forgivness.
And so what are you saying? If someone is mute, they can not recieve salvation?
And if God created them, he knows them, loves them (the bible shows us this), understands them, sees them, and could make them talk if he wanted to, such as he has before.
((Also, what good has talking done humans? If you ask me, it has led to some pretty annoying factors in life, and history))

When I meant "verbally", what I really wanted to say was, "Communicate in an intelligible way to others". Jerk. lol

@Imitation- Where do you think animals go? Do you believe they go to hell because they aren't on the same intelligence level as we are?

Shadows-shine @Imitation- Where do you think animals go? Do you believe they go to hell because they aren't on the same intelligence level as we are? Like I said earlier, maybe they cease to exist at some point. Humans have the unique trait of being a sexual being and a moral being at the same time. If we as humans mess up, we can always go to God and ask for forgiveness. Animals are sexual beings but they do not have morals. The Bible never says that Christ died for the human race (and animals, too, I guess....). Animals cannot have morals because their behavior does not clearly clarify such a thing. Yes, dolphins are like people in the sense that they have sex for fun. And yes, penguins are like people in the sense that they mate for life. But how many of you out there have told your cat or dog about Jesus and have gotten a definitive answer from them about whether or not they have accepted Jesus into their hearts to be the Savior of their lives? And to top off the whole she-bang, Genesis clearly says that God spoke everything into existence except people. He breathed the breath of life into us. He gave us souls. Where does Genesis say that God got down and made animals out of the dust of the ground? Where does Genesis say that God breathed the breath of life into animals?

Because Animals Are Without Sin. They Never Sinned. The Bible Never Said They Sinned. Thus They Do Not Need To Be Saved.
If they did have sin, they could not have been sacrificed for the forgiveness of sins because they themselves would be dieing of themselves. But because they were innocent, the punishment was taken away from the humans.

Animals burn in hell so that the devil can eat meat for the rest of his life.

It's just the breath that makes the physical body work.
