Ok so a couple weeks ago I was talking to my boyfriend and I asked him about The Beatles and he said Quote: If The Beatles were around today I think they would be country. I almost jumped through the phone and socked him!! We got into an argument that lasted 2 minutes but only had two sentences (ya that kind) So what do ya'll think?? Do you agree with him??

they were the original rock and roll.and now what is considered rock and roll is not actually rock and roll.it's just plain rock(there is a difference)that is probably why he said they would be country because he is thinking of rock not, rock and roll.so now the Beatles would not be rock they would be rock and roll(the real kind).and the Beatles could never be country.one reason they are not from America and two country is usually about god beer or America so i don't think the Beatles would sing about any of that(except maybe beer)the only thing that came close to Beatles country is "Don't Pass Me By"

I can kinda see what he means as much of today's country has a lot of rock in it at times (varies artist to artist). To me country is hardly country anymore.. I think the Beatles would stand out today and be great if they were still around as in my opinion the majority of today's rock music isn't as impressive as it used to be.
Even though, I don't the the Beatles would go in that direction if they were still around.

Hmmm..... I suppose I could see where he was thinking that, Some of the early beatle songs could possibly pass as country (nowdays) but they certianly didn't pass for country back in the 60's lol
