Tiamat was never truly born in a natural sense, she was the one who existed and created the first of the gods and the dragons. In this, she was not truly slain. Chaos deities don't die, just rest until they re-awaken.

So this holiday, though called birth of Tiamat, seems more appropriate to just honour her in her life, in her resting state, and when she'll reawaken.
