It's one of my favorite books!! I finished it in 3 days, and now I'm waiting for Catching Fire to come out.
I like how it shows the two main ways society thinks the future could turn out: all shiny and technologically advanced, or poor and war-torn.

'` I may look happy on the outside... `'

'` Dani (Vogue),
Hmm. The Hunger Games.
I haven't read the book to be honest, but I have heard about it though my teacher.
Friday's always Book Friday and we like to talk about different, well, books.

Anyway,
I remember something about a Reaping Box.
Every time a child turns eleven years old, his or her name gets put in the Reaping Box.
Now, there are other was to get your name in there twice or maybe even five; the people are starved. In order to get more food, you must place you name in the Box again.
Anyway, there's this girl. I think she's the one who takes care of her siblings. Her eleven year old sister gets her name in the Box and is almost immediately drawn out to be in the Hunger Games. Her older sister takes her spot and is now in the Games.

I think you're supposed to be the only one alive in the end in order to get food for your family. I don't remember.
Oh! There's also a little romance and a love triangle thing involved too. If I heard right, there's a lot of kissing or something.
`'

'` ...but if you felt how I feel on the inside... `'

'`... you'd understand...`'

I've read it.
I thought it was a really good book. It was defintely different from what I normally read. But, that isn't a bad thing. It shows that the future isn't always what it's expected to be.
However, it is directed for the young adult audience.

I finally read it and loved it! I'm re-reading right now.
Can't wait to get my hands on the sequel.
