Wanna naked with me?
No thanks. I like my clothes.

As people that enjoy style, in your opinion, what do you think is the most important skill someone should know in order to improve their individual style and personally what would you want to know from someone in order to improve how you dress or what clothes you ultimately buy?

Really it comes down to where a person is lacking. Some people buy really cheap fabrics that fall wrong and shrink or just look cheap so they need someone to explain natural fabrics to them. Some people just need a colour wheel. When it comes down to the actual piece itself, beyond the basics of course (good t-shirts and tanks, nice jeans, etc) a lot of things are up to the person themselves.

From someone else my biggest thing is colour. I love colour but I have some red in my pasty skin tone some reds and pinks make me look redder and some yellows wash me right out. So I often have to get a second opinion on a piece. I'm glad to finally be dating a boy who is not colour blind (I seem to have a thing for finding them). I also love dating a boy with a sense of style so he can pick stuff out for me as well and it is 99% of the time fantastic biggrin

Attitude and posture. Style begins with self, not the other way around.

i think layering and the ability to rework pieces are really important skills.. anyone can buy nice clothes but they have to make it into their own look

Appropriate Color is important, I think. For instance, a very pale person should probably avoid whites as a rule, and a very red or rosy person should not wear much pink if any at all. I've seen a lot of people who simply wear what they or someone else thought might look good, though not necessarily on them.

The hair cut that looks good on one woman may look absurd or just down right gross on the next because of the shape of their face, well color is the same way regarding the tone of their skin.
