Let me know if I'm not allowed to make a topic, please! Sorry, a bit paranoid here... This is less of a facepalm, and more like headdesking until the end of time. And maybe having a bit of fun with fire near her house. Quote: Tw Staff: Reading Twilight it came to me the story of Westley and Buttercup. Is Bella and Edward love, True Love like theirs? Stephenie: Actually Bella and Edward love story is better than them. When I was in college I wrote a l paper from a feminist perspective (it’s an easy way to write) on the princess bride so I am little biased. The problem I have with Westley and Buttercup is Buttercup is an idiot and it doesn’t bother anyone, all that matters is that she’s beautiful, that is her only value. At the end she redeems herself a bit, but the female characters are very weak in that story. Westley is brave and smart and fights, Buttercup is just beautiful, it’s her only thing: her brain means nothing, her personality means nothing to him, they have the kind of love where they can’t leave without each other. It’s not a great example to me. I couldn’t find one who was a really good comparison to me, I mean, Elizabeth Bennet and Mr.Darcy’s it’s pretty good, except you should think that if either one of them dies the other one will carry on bravely, and Romeo and Juliet were kind of idiots, they didn’t know each other very well. And Anna Of Green Gables and Gilbert Blythe (Anna dai capelli rossi), but they are much more like Jacob and Bella, they’re friend they get the nerves of each other a lot. I didn’t find out yet a Bella and Edward love story that really satisfied me that way. From: http://www.twilightersitalia.com/sito/volterra.pdf...Does she even understand what she's saying?! How she describes Westley and Buttercup is how Edward and Bella are! *seethes* Not to mention the story itself is more interesting than Twilight. Heck, remember Indigo Montoya?(Spelling names= fail from me...) Saying that she's better than them.... Anyone else feel like becoming an arsonist at this point? Please, tell me other people have noticed the madness! (No Sparta jokes... Please?)

xXVoodooChildXx Oh, and romeo and juliet ARENT idiots, theyre passionate, and edward and bella barely know each other either..... Exactly. You know that "Romeo and Juilet" was about warning people AGAINST relationships like that? Guess what Twilight decided to throw out the window? *sighs* William is rolling in his grave right now. Or maybe going to go zombie and eat someone's non-existent brain. Sorry, maybe a little harsh. But still...

Oh, wow. That partially explains why her writing is such rubbish. She doesn't know good literature and true love when she sees it. She thought she had no chance of becoming a writer, and I agree. She's a ****-er. I feel sorry for her husband.
(Those asterisks up there don't actually mean anything; I just don't like to swear xP)

elffinwitch oh dear lord are you kidding me? Believe me, I wish I was. I honestly didn't believe people could be this... conceited. She also bashed Wuthering Heights. No, this is straight from the horse's mouth. Literally or figuratively, I leave the interpretation up to you. I have plenty more of this sort of thing where this came from, and not only about the Princess Bride. Oh no, it can get worse. *gets ready to start using beams on her*

Princess Pirateer I just realized that you totally own this subforum! I do? ...Huh. I just enjoy analyzing people. She just has so many things I can mess with. And the surprising thing is, I always have more material to work with.
