The Flame... the sounds
A proper cert name for the sound the object the two sounds are from the same object. A lighter. Not much description will go into what the lighter looks like because the actual lighter itself doesn't matter. As long as it's not one of those weird pushy button kinds. A traditional lighter with the gray wheel you need to 'roll' with your thumb to get a light. Hence, while the two sounds are separate, they are really part one and part two. You need one to get the other.
the flicker it's hard to place a real word to the sound. The flicker when you roll the metal wheel with your thumb and you get a 'tschk'.
the flame the almost inaudible but still there noise of the flame as it crackles to life.

The Flame... the boy name leander. "Lee" gender male sound the flicker of a lighter
hair because they are twins, I'd like to have them look like each other: so can I give him the same hair? eyes for the eyes, they don't have to be exactly the same. I'd like them darker on him though: I mean the flame is part colorless liquid and the spark of the lighter, right? So Lee in a sense "influences" her physically, so he should be a... brighter version of her? Or maybe she's a muted version of him. skin Same with the skin. Darker, in tone or in shade extra bits Mmmm I can see him being a little bit more physically equipped than her. He is the first action, and there's the physical 'tschk' involved with the thumb? So since she's already muted, I think if they have any 'extra bits', he should have more.
personality thrill seeker. over bearing. loud(er). 'out there'. His personality is partially derived from his sound. The odd 'tschk' sound is a starter to the flame, the prelude almost. So Lee can be considered to be the 'big bang' when it comes to the two twins. Louder and more demanding, he speaks for the two of them and has the tendency of saying 'we' for everything. (We need to go to the bathroom. We think Sam looks stupid in a dress. Etc.) He is the voice for the pair, and is slightly more impatient and a little bit more aggressive in getting his way. He makes fire. Fire which is useful really, but also a little bit dangerous. And yet he isn't _the_ fire. So Lee is mostly all bark, no bite. He'll say things to piss you off and threaten you, but that doesn't mean he'll actually follow through with any of the threats. A little bit over bearing at times, he's pushy in a sense that he likes to be right, or to convince you that you're wrong. A thrill seeker, he is very curious about the world and how it will treat him, but won't go out of the way to discover things unless he knows it's dangerous. As a child he is already an adrenaline addict, trying to jump off ledges and push the swing as far as it can go. He loves speed and danger, but doesn't attempt to create it himself. That is to say, Lee will jump off a plane, if it's there, but he won't go looking for the plane to jump off it. If that makes sense? Protective. He considers himself Sam's guardian and thinks 'the old lady' is somewhat useless. A bit brusque, when it comes to interaction with others he is more wary than his younger sister. He's not cocky, nor is he sullen. He just doesn't see the point in approaching others because he has Sam, and why would he need something else? However, he has no qualms about playing with other children and sharing toys if thats what the old lady wants him to do.

The Flame... the girl name sam gender female sound the crackle of the flame
hair shaded like a flame, it starts off with a blue base, reaches that midtone which is almost transparent and is tipped with that bright white gold shade of fire. As a child because her hair is short, it'll be evenly matched but as she grows older there'll be a larger gold to blue ratio. From a baby it'll look wild and static like tiny flames. eyes I don't really mind what the eyes look like? skin Same with the skin. extra bits Same with the extra bits. I guess what is most important to me is her hair.
personality thrill giver. quiet(er). attracted to dangerous things. simple and basic. She and Lee aren't very different. Sam is a more sedate and quiet version in a sense that she lets him do the speaking and planning, and has no qualms about doing what the old lady wants her to do. She is however, a little bit more impulsive. The flame, she's no bark, all bite. Sam is the one who'll charter the plane to fly them over the cliffs in order to jump out of it, so to speak. Not a thrill seeker in the ordinary sense, I suppose you can say she's the thrill giver? Sam just plans things ahead of them and makes sure Lee gets his adrenaline rush. That's all. She is however, just as attracted to dangerous things, even more so. Sam's the one who'll try to steal the harley when she's a teenager, and streak through the streets one balmy night simply for the rush. But she's not as extreme as Lee, and if there's too much at risk, she simply won't do it. With others, Sam will be the one to make the first move. Polite, but not sweet, she'll very precisely ask you to share your toys with her. If you don't... well, that's your problem. While she thinks the same way as Lee in a sense that she doesn't believe she _needs_ friends, she's more likely to try to make them simply because they're there. Yes, that's the excuse she'll use most of the time. "It was there, so why not?" this can apply to smashing the fire alarm in school when she gets stuck in a boring class, or climbing a tree and getting stuck in one of the higher branches. Is Sam soft towards anything?

The Flame... the guardian name mavis G thorton gender female
age 55 profession retired professor
hair shoulder length and graying, she usually wears it in a bun. eyes a very sharp green. just because she's getting older doesn't mean she doesn't notice! appearance Sedate. Proper. She wears formal clothing that suits her age and status as a retired maths teacher, and doesn't seem to have any trouble filling the stereotype of the single old maid.
personality Proper. She's an older woman who has never had her own children but has had her fill of teacher the children of others. She's a very sharp tack and almost always sarcastic. She refers to herself as a geezer half the time and doesn't mind filling the stereotype. But her sharp eyes don't miss much, and she controls her home with a very firm hand.

The Flame... the family The family relationship will color everything that Mavis does for the twins, and how they react to the world around them. Sort of a play on nature and nurture. By nature they are wild and passionate creatures who want to experience the thrill of live at the most extreme. But by nurture they are proper, sedate, civilized human beings. Mavis’ method of rearing the children will stifle them to a point that occasionally they might over react and do something dangerous. But she always ends up getting her way (most of the time), and so she usually has control over the situation. This probably won’t be such a big issue until the twins go through puberty, when people are at their most volatile. Many fights, but nothing as passionate as a scream fest. Mostly lectures, and the ‘I’m very disappointed in you.’ This will work best on Lee than Sam.
The twins refer to Mavis ‘as the old lady’. She was never meant to have children, because she had never planned for them nor had she ever wished for her own. So suffice to say having two babies dropped into her lap at what she considers “her advanced age” is surprising enough. Mavis is experienced with children, having been an English teacher but she has never raised children from birth herself, so the beginning few years when Sam and Lee are babies will be fraught with challenges and mishaps. Her age, her mentality on what ‘proper’ children are supposed to be like will mean they will grow up in a very dictated and precise household. They will always eat their vegetables, and they will always do their chores. Seemingly cold and a bit heavy handed with the criticism, Mavis does love her children… she just doesn’t know how to show it.
Lee and Mavis will probably have the most number of fights, with him retaliating against anything he feels is too strict, and defending himself and his sister for their actions (and their mistakes). However, of the two he probably cares what she thinks a little bit more and both the criticisms and the praise will affect him deeply. He’s the type to pretend not to care that the mother matters, until it comes down to it. However, Sam first, Mavis second. He’ll butt heads with his guardian often, and not over big things only. No, he’ll be aggressively demanding over the small things too.
Sam and Mavis in comparison will on the surface appear to have a more perfect relationship. She will be the obedient one who does her chores first before playing, who brings Mavis a cup of tea: but appearances aside, Sam is the more cold hearted of the pair as well. She just doesn’t care what Mavis thinks, because she’ll do things her way anyways—if she can get away with it. While she does have fond feelings for the old lady, she doesn’t quite understand Lee’s obsession in making sure Mavis approves of what they are doing: and as she grows up, will feel more than a little bit irritated that ‘some old hag’ has the right to boss her around.

The Flame... the twins Lee and Sam’s relationship is the almost stereotypical relationship of twins who find that with each other, they don’t need anyone else. With Lee being slightly more dominant than Sam physically, Sam pulls the strings really: Lee just likes to think he does. The protector, the speaker, the defender, from the time they emerge from the orb Lee will be a little overbearing and very possessive over his sister. Sam on the other hand, while taking this for granted will have a slightly more amused point of view on the relationship dynamics. She’ll never think of doing anything without Lee, but neither will she seek his approval or his consent in anything she plans for the two of them. In fact, Sam doesn’t believe the word ‘No’ exists in Lee’s dictionary when it comes to her.
As children, they will be very close. Having just emerged from the orb and finding Mavis to be a foreign intruder they have to deal with to survive, they’ll rely on each other for entertainment and for friendship, making connections with others simply because of their desire to determine what life is like. How can you be a thrill seeker if you do not understand what thrills there are to seek? Besides, it’ll be expected of them to make friends.
As they grow older and less reliant on Mavis for survival, they’ll grow to care for the older woman out of their own free will. They’ll stay with her and listen to her, but still each other will be number one priority.
However, through puberty they will differ slightly. As each has the chance to grow and learn and discover their own likes and dislikes, they will start... differing. If that’s the word. As they come into their independence and their realization of what they like to do, they’ll seek other friends who share the exact same interests. Not to say that they’re completely different. It’ll be little things, like gender. Sam will enjoy shopping, Lee will enjoy girls. They’ll both find respective partners to pursue these interests with.
They’ll never grow apart. But they will be less obsessed with each other. As they mature, Lee will become a security blanket Sam will rely on only in times of need, and for Lee, Sam will become a ‘little sister’ whom, if he finds people he trusts, he will give over to.

Okay. So I hope it's alright if I post? I wasn't sure if you wanted to save more posts or not Shiva, but you said you'd like some feedback a while ago. And since no one else has yet... I thought I would.
I think the dynamic that you have between the twins and the guardian is really interesting. You wrote a lot on how the twins specifically felt about her. I'm curious to know more about how she in particular feels about each of them though. Just think it'd be an interesting tidbit to add in. :B
And I'm also curious about if there's anything Sam is particularly soft about? Because she seems very set in her ways, like a rock and less sensitive. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I'm just wondering if there is anything she'd be sensitive about other than her brother.
Have you thought about location too? And is there a specific name for the sound you're going to use? Since I know you're using the flame and the flicker, but there needs to be one title that conjoins into one sound for the Song. Like... For example 'Lighting a Lighter'. But that's really lame. So I'm just asking to see if you thought of that yet. xD
And so far I don't really know what else to say. So I'll leave it at this. For now.
