A short gray haired woman stepped up to an old looking building with a disgruntled sigh, she was younger here, about 15 but this wasn’t a good place for her. Eleanor was down on her luck, and had been for sometime now. Because of this, she was forced to find work elsewhere. This mean she had to go low, very, very low. She had been set up as a nanny for a high-class businessman, the very thought of her own self-stooping to this level made her stomach flip. Never the less the straightened her self and rang the doorbell. After a few seconds the door was opened and a thin eyes butler meet his green eyes with Eleanor’s gray.
“
We’ve been exception you, come right this way miss.” He spoke in a dull echoing tone that made Eleanor’s eyes grew heavy.
She nodded and stepped in to the house half marveling at the size of the place. The walls where all white with hundreds upon hundreds of art pieces hanging in need little rows. There where roman statues in the halls and suits of armor along each corner. Finally the man lead Eleanor to a little quite room, where a man younger then her self sat in a suit. He was clearly Chinese and sat very prestigious with his arms folding in his lap, looking straight a head at her as she entered the room. Eleanor smiled bowing in greeting like that agency had told her to do. The man smiled nodding to her.
“
Ah good, you’ve here on time, wonderful to see, now then Miss Eleanor, I’ve hired you to watch after my sister.” He spoke with out taking his eyes off the older woman.
Eleanor smiled softly wondering where the child was; she gave a quick glance around the room before meeting his black eyes.
“
That was what I was told, is there anything I should know about her before I begin.” She stayed still even if it was hard for her, she wanted to sit down but stayed her feet and put on the sweetest smile she could.
“
Gweniver, is a shy one, in fact your first task is to find her. She seemed to have slipped off just before you arrived, she’s a sweet girl but she is easily frightened. If you can find her, you’ll give you the job.” The man stood and nodded to Eleanor before leaving the room. Eleanor breathed a heavily sigh and began to look around the room.
“
Oh Gweniver, where are you.” She muttered half heartedly. She set her bags down and began to wander around the massive house, much to her amazement she didn’t pass a soul as she looked. After about and hour of looking she finally sat down.
“
oh, of all the stupid, rott-…” she cough her own tongue and pressed her face in her hands.
She really needed this job, all of the others she’d been fired from. Eleanor was never a people person parse; she enjoyed killing them more then spending time with them. She finally picked her head up coming face to face with a little Chinese girl. Eleanor was so startled she jumped on to her chair, her arm forming in to a long blade. The little girls eyes when wide as the blade manifested before her eyes. Eleanor bite her lip, she hadn’t meant to show what she was capable of, that’s normally what had gotten her fired in the past.
“
I-I’m sorry I didn’t me-“ she paused as she felt a small body press to her stomach.
The child had latched tightly on to Eleanor’s middle and was snuggling her face in to the woman’s side. For a few moments Eleanor was to stunned to move. She slipped back down in the seat and returned her arm to normal, gently pressing it along the girls back.
“
Nana.” The child muttered with a soft smile. The weapon sat there before her lips broke in to a real smile.
“
My, my, you are the sweet one...” The woman smiled thumbing the back of Gwen’s hair.
“
I promise to watch over you, well. ”
