The history of the Sapphire Ocean is one of pain, of suffering, one of great evil, and of great good, one of terrible mages, and one of honorable knights. It started with a boy named Kromm Kall Kenok, a hero of a former territory known as the Emerald Forest. He conquered land after land for the kingdom, hoping that if he united it that the world could live in peace, but he soon realised with would not happen. He left the kingdom with his massive army and retreated to a old area of the massive world, one with beautiful blue bays, massive castles, and forest behind it to make protecting it easy. He set up here the country of Sapphire Ocean. He lead it well but only defended he never attacked other countries. One year he recieved a report that one country, the country of Crimson, had conquered the emerald forest and many other countries. The country of Crimson was run by a crazed leader named Sartor, along with his armies of demons, he could conquer anything in his path. He moved to take the Sapphire Ocean from Kromm and his noble knights. Kromm of course resisted but his country, as strong as it was could not hope to hold Sartor back forever. He called forth everyone land to help him but only one answered his call, the land of Angels. He was saved by them and was able to repel the demons back to their lands. He then with one other angel known as Rikkaethean were able to kill Sartor and let the calm settle again.
Many great years later the land had become anxious and blood thirsty, they started to want to conquer other lands. Kromm was able to keep his country from starting wars, but only about half of his country actually wanted to not go to war. The land divided and family became enemies, friends became foes, and neighbors became assassins. The country colllapsed into civil war. The few royal knights and the angels against the many farmers and witches. They fought for years and years but the knights were doomed as soon as demons attacked the angels in order to help their witch friends. Kromm failed to save his country and his punishment was a very cruel and humiliating death. Soon the country became an empire conquering nearby lands expanding their lands to consume about half of the nation. They then stopped and reinforced their lands as to make sure they wouldn't be defeated if the other remaining countries banded together and attacked.
Many years later the Sapphire Ocean kept it's lands despite the vast number of wars they had to fight to keep it. Soon the angels, demons, and lesser beings, humans and elves, soon started to see themselves as the strongest. the country was split, again. The vast windy hills and mountains of the west became the domain of the Angels. The fiery, and earthly volcanos and deserts for the demons of the North. And the golden and sapphire oceans and plains to the lesser beings in the east.
