≫ Death The Kid ≪ No matter what time....
Death the Kid walked the busy streets of Paris after completing his most recent mission: Defeat the criminal, Lupin the Third. His two weapons, Liz and Patti, followed along behind him, observing the beautiful stores and restaurants around them.
"Woooow~!" Patti cooed, raising a hand to point to the Eiffel Tower situated in the distance. Liz smiled, patting her younger sister on the back.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" the older woman said, her blue eyes focused on her sister's face. Patti nodded and let out a soft giggle, looking up at her Meister.
"Oi, KIddo....where are we going~?" she asked, moving a finger to her chin. The boy didn't reply ; instead, he took a right and headed down a dark alley lined with trashcans and dumpsters.
"Aaah, do we /have/ to go down here?" Liz asked, her voice high pitched with fear. Kid nodded to her and continued moving forward. Patti skipped along behind him, while Liz followed at a slower pace, jumping at any sudden movements. Their meister was busy forming a report in his head...it wouldn't be long until he would have to address his father, Shinigami-sama. After a few more minutes of walking, the young shinigami came to a halt, a wall blocking his path.

The city's skyline was a blaze of collective sphere glows of various sizes, warmly breaking through the darkness of the pitch black night that cloaked the sky overhead. As far as the eye could see, the streets appeared empty, with only specs of life waling around on this brisk night, hurrying from store to store, or making their ways back home to escape the chill filling the air. A chill that went seemingly unnoticed to the fair skin, raven locked woman sitting cross legged at the very top of a roof not to far from Kid, Liz and Patti. At first glance she appeared fairly young, anywhere from fifteen to seventeen. Her clothing consisted of what seem to be a satin black cloak that revealed two pale slender legs in front of her, seemed to bag over her tiny arms placed at either side of her which she leaned on to for support and a large hood with long, silky black hair that fell loose over each of her shoulders. Deep amythest hued eyes watching in absolutely amusement as she watched a trio of 'rats' corner themselves.
She could not begin to stress what an absolute fool the son of the feared Shinigami was.
In all honesty, neither this boy nor Shibusen interested her. She cared not for this war between pathetic fools of her own kin and moronic heroes of the other side. Or at least, it had been of not interest. That was until recently, recently information concerning advantages on Shibusen's side had caught an interest in her and now...? Now she wanted said interest. What luck for her, someone of such an important nature who attended said school had been sent on a mission not to far from where she had been hiding as a resident for the past three months for some 'soul shopping.'
An amused smirk slipped it's way onto her lips then. She had tailed him for the past few hours or so, she had been plotting the prior week a way of entering Shibusen and retrieving what she now wanted, but this was quite the alternative and she cared not to waste such a prime chance. She kept her obvious witch soul carefully under protection as the young man and his two partners seem to pause at the dead end and she pushed herself off her hands, chuckling as she looked down at them from a building just over head.
"Oh me, oh my." Rang a tone soft and sweet as a bell. "Have you gotten lost? You poor things, how dreadful."
She lifted her arms up in front of her, stretching them straight before her, letting the sleeves hang completely over her hands. The blowing the excess fabric forward along with her hair, the strands brushing across her her face messily, all most completely hiding the blood lusted smirk that crossed her face that did not click at all with the sweet tone that followed it.
"Then how about we play a little game while you have some time, friends."
--------
On that cue, near the mouth of the alley, a rather tall 6'5" man with a decent muscular physique stood blocking the only exit for the trio inside. The man himself seem to be no older then his late thirty's, had a loose white shirt with a symbol of some kind colored in red over the center, words of another language lining beneath it. He wore cut dark brown jeans, white sneakers and cap to cover his short dirty blond hair, as well as shadow out beady black eyes.
Near the left side of the ma stood another, much younger shorter, frailer looking man. He wore a long checkered green and black sweater with a turtle neck to hide his slender form, a pair of long light blue pants and black nice shoes, shaggy red hair falling across his face and hiding pale brown hues. He himself only seemed around his early teens and stood a 5'7" next to the other man.
Both stared at the three with dull looks.
Both stood quietly, all most like statues.
Both made no movement tog et out of the way.

≫ Deå†h †he Ki∂ ≪ No matter what time....
The ebony-haired boy began to raise his hands to his chest, going through the motions to summon a special device that allowed him to communicate with his father. But, before he could do so, he heard a tenor voice break the silence of the night. The shinigami immediately turned around, looking for the source of the voice. It wasn't long until he saw the woman......Kid narrowed his eyes, studying her striking features.
"Me? Lost? Hah, as if." He scoffed, motioning for his two partners to transform. The girls immediately complied, jumping up right before morphing into the "Twin Demon Guns"; the feared weapons of Shinigami-sama's son. His amber eyes glared up at the dark-haired woman, his jaw locking once she mentioned a 'game.' "A game, you say? Sounds fun." The boy said, flashing her a smile. Once he heard footsteps coming down the alley, he turned his head to stare at the two men approaching him.
"Tch....of course, get others to do your dirty work for you." His arms snapped up, aiming both of the weapons at the men. "I'm going to have to ask you to get out of the way. Or I /will/ shoot." Kid growled, his smile turning into a snarl. His eyes widened a bit, glaring over at the two men with a deadly look.
Kid had two sides to him. One was the compassionate, caring human...while the other was the ruthless, aggressive Shinigami. The latter was hardly ever seen by anyone...due to the fact that he rarely went all-out in fights. However, this time, he slowly felt himself losing his 'compassionate' side. The corners of his mouth twitched, threatening to form a devilish grin. The Shinigami's voice dropped a few octaves, and it was laced with murderous intent. "I'll ask you one more time.....get out of my way."

If one could see her eyes beneath the shadows dancing over her face from the hood, the amethyst glimmered in utter amusement to the Shinigami's reaction from where she remained placed. She had no intention of giving him the gratification of a response, it wasn't necessary, in her mind, not worth time. She knew what she wanted and this boy was the perfect stepping stone, unless he proved himself otherwise useful.
Julianna tilted her head thoughtfully to that, continuing to eye the young man something story's beneath her position, arms stiff out before her. For the time, she knew what she needed. Her head tilted to bring her focus onto the rather zoned out looking men blocking the entrance of the alley, her smirk remaining strong on her lips.
He seem so serious, she could feel the threatening pulsations of his wavelength from here, it was snapping at her like a dog growling towards a stranger.
Time to play.
------------
The skinny man to the left's form began to be engulfed in white and his form began to shift and shoot in a streak of light from where he stood into the other, bulkier man's right hand, an obvious weapon transformation occurring. As the light seem to shatter away, it revealed a fairly large mace the size of a human body. One the muscular man seem to hold with no effort as he continued to stare all most through Death the Kid. And for a good minute that was all he did until veins began popping on either side of the man's face, irises of his eyes shrinking as the white of his eye widen to a near horrifying level, letting out an ear shattering yell that could be heard echoing through the once quiet little alley for blocks.
And like someone had flipped a switch, he lifted the mace and ran towards Kid in a all most panicked state, lifting the incredible sized weapon directly above his head before swinging it down for Kid, shattering through the brick wall even behind where the young Shinigami stood as he did.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Thankfully, the Shinigami was pretty damn fast.
Kid leapt off to the left, grumbling a few curses in frustration as pieces of rubble pelted the young man's body. He narrowed his eyes at the man before him, studying his features and such. Strange.....what in the world was controlling these two? Insanity? Black Blood...? There were so many possibilities, and not enough time for him to figure out what-in-the-hell was happening to these two people. It was truly a frustrating situation to him.
But right now.......he needed to live. The boy suddenly hopped back a few feet, putting some distance between himself and the enemy. Although he was good in close-combat....his best bet was to stay at long-distance for now. He didn't know what his enemy was capable of....and considering the fact that his opponent had a mace that would hurt like hell if it made contact with the Shinigami's body, long range fighting would be best for the moment.
He had two options now: finish this quickly, or drag things out a bit. If he chose to finish this quickly, his Death Cannons would be required to do so. And that would result in having a few buildings blown off the face of the earth, possibly even the injuring of some civilians. He didn't know the amount of damage his Cannons would do in this situation - therefore, he decided that it would be in his best interest NOT to use the fairly large weaponry. Yet.
Now satisfied by his method of attack, the boy aimed at the man on the other end of the alley and fired off a few rounds. Once a cloud of smoke surrounded what was supposed to be his enemy, he paused. Did he get the guy? Or did he get out of the way....? Kid narrowed his eyes, attempting to peer through the heavy cloud of smoke. There was no way he could tell at this point - his vision was not-so-conveniently obscured by the smoke from his own weapons. He dug his feet into the ground, preparing himself for a counter-attack. The young man would need to react fast..after all, he wouldn't see his attacker until they were a few inches away from him. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ "If you fight with a Shinigami.... I can't guarantee the safety of your soul."

JULIANNA'S POST REPLY It was quite interesting to watch someone as grand as a Shinigami nearly be pummeled into the concrete street of the alley, perhaps even more interesting watching him scamper to a presumably safe distance from these puppets. He was quick, he was cautious and above all else he had power. Delightful, delicious, power that had yet to be untapped to it's full potential.
She kept her arms outstretched before her, amethyst hues narrowing ever so lightly to focus more in on the young Shinigami, her smile remaining unaffected by the blizzard of bullets he let loose. He was fast to take action, so. Her fingers twitched beneath the over-sized satin sleeves, allowing the slightest glimmer from the otherwise invisible string of her soul wavelength, weaved around her fingers from under her cloak and out to the two men bellows souls.
These pathetic things were mere humans, being able to capture him seemed unlikely, not with his speed, but...
---------
As the smoke cleared by, the large man's silhouette came into view. The large mace held out horizontally before him in order to block most of the shots from his chest and head, but he had not gotten away completely unharmed. Two shots had undoubtedly hit his left shoulder, one right above the other. Another had ripped through his left thigh, along with one of his sides. As he came further into view, blood stains began growing over each hit mark, running down his limbs.
It was quite obvious by his stance the man had made no attempt at dodging or running from the shots. And despite injury taken by that call he lifted the mace high above his head once more, seemingly ignoring what should have been a great deal of pain in his arm as he slammed it down for the Shinigami once more, this time mumbling some sort of attack lowly under his voice which caused a reddish glow to surround the weapon which pulsed.
Whether it hit wall, flesh or ground, upon contact the mace let out a large explosion of pure power, taking a good chunk out of what was a dead end, as well as the walls around them, exploding out like a shock-wave. They were not intending to show as much care for any passing civilians, structures or much else around them as Kid, quite clearly.
---------
Their worthless existence would have a very proud ending, becoming pigs to be slaughtered for her. All while she studied his fighting style as fully as she could.
Until their body's were destroyed, or the connection was severed, they would continue bending under her will. Even if they were nothing but the corpses they were, with souls tied down tightly to force them to do as she wished.
The foolish Shinigami could continue to fight, she would continue to memorize.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ A persistent nagging feeling kept bothering the young Shinigami. He couldn't quite point out what was daring to annoy him at a time like this, but whatever it was told him he was missing something. He was overlooking something important here, something that was a key element in defeating these two. He never was one for missing details, but in this situation.....
He felt like he was, indeed, missing a detail that was the last piece to solving this puzzle concerning what was afflicting the humans before him.
Amber eyes narrowed at the approaching man in an attempt to decipher his next move. Obviously, pain was not an issue to this opponent, so reckless shooting wasn't going to do anything to give Kid the upper hand here. Suddenly, a small glimpse of an unfamiliar soul wavelength caught his 'perception', but before he could focus on it, it had disappeared.
What in the hell was that? Usually, whenever he caught wavelengths, he could tune into them easily. They never really disappeared like that, which worried him. Was he losing his Soul Perception? Was it even possible to lose that ability of his? His brows were furrowed in concentration and his mind worked to find an answer to his questions.
"Kid-kun, watch out!" Patti's voice jerked him out of his state of deep thought, and he looked up just in time to see the mace flying at him from above. The Shinigami let out a few curses before leaping back even further, narrowly avoiding the attack. His eyes widened once the weapon glowed, and a loud curse escaped his lips before the surge of power sent him flying, slamming through numerous walls in his path.
When he finally hit a particularly thick wall, he fell forward and landed on the ground face-flat and still, as if he were a statue. Every bone in his body hurt, every muscle ached, and....boy, was his head killing him. Whatever the hell that attack was, it really had taken a toll on him.
"Kid!" Liz called out to her meister, a look of worry crossing her face. "Answer me, Kid!"
"You're too loud," he grumbled, partially muffled by the cobblestone surface underneath him. Liz and Patti both let out a sigh of relief upon hearing his voice, now sure that their meister wasn't dead or unconscious.
"Can you move?
"Yeah, I'm good," Dust and debris surrounded the immediate area, obscuring his vision once again. Rubble was strewn across the ground around him, obvious signs of where he had crashed through the structures. "What a mess, what a mess...."
Slowly, Kid pushed himself into a standing position, blood streaming down one side of his face. He brought his right arm to his forehead and used the sleeve of his suit to remove the red substance, sighing in annoyance once he was finished. He would have to end this now....These men were putting other civilians in danger, and with that powerful attack of theirs...
If he was hit by it again, he'd be done for.
Something still bothered him about that rogue wavelength, though...He knew it had to be playing a part in the way these people were acting. The young man staggered forward a few feet, coming close to losing himself in his thoughts once again. If he could just figure out what the hell that wavelength was, then maybe he'd find the key to victory. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ "If you fight with a Shinigami.... I can't guarantee the safety of your soul."
