Once i was talking to my friends little sister, who is a hardcore twihard. Anyway i was b*tching about twilight on my status so she comments and asks me to tell her 20 other vampire books beside the twilight series, expecting it to be impossible. So i mention 20 that i had read, and she hasn't talked to me since.

lol thats epic! there are so meny of them out there! its so sad that people seem to think Twilights it!
i think that girls like the Twilight story so much because "Bella" has almost NO personality, so it's really easy to relate to her and pretend she is you, you know, with the (stereotipical) hot vamp love interest and so on... though, i must say, Stephenie Meyer's idea of being a vamp mildly pissis me off... i mean, i wright vamp books! but oh well, we cant expect all vamp storys to be like interview with the vampire, can we? I mean, shes no Ann Rice!

Ann Rice rox all the way, stphenie meyer just suck. gosh i need to reread the interview with the vampire again!!!!

I've noticed in all the newspaper articles I read that when they have to say something positive about Twilight they only talk about how popular it is and not how good the books actually are. So it seems to me that many adults and critics out there are right-minded enough to know the series is terrible. Take Stephen King for instance. He's a great writer and he knows what he's talking about!

Twenty? Is that all she asked for? I can think of more than that. But still... That's a bit pathetic that she won't talk to you anymore. I mean really, I've met plenty of people that don't like Final Fantasy, and I still talk to them. We just chose to agree to disagree. Twilight: The most insane and close minded fanbase in existence. *Note: Sane fans do not apply.
Your title says it all.

Really, I can't even name 20 vampire novels, but that's because I read such diverse genres that I don't know that much about any particular author or genre. But still, I think I want SK to adopt me because of that diss. It was so epic! And with such class! He compliments a great author and bashes a crappy one in one fell swoop, thus upping his own awesomeness!!!

The twenty novels thing, that's even easier now. I can't even walk into my local book store because there are so many cheesy vampire romances that have been vomited up since Twilight first came out. Even authors who I used to somewhat respect for their original and well written works created such disgusting knock-offs. Those authors created 'vampire' romance novels simply because they knew that it would sell after Twilight's success. Those who follow Stephenie Meyer (hereafter referred to as the Unpleasantness) in that sense are just sell outs.
It also bothers me that the Unpleasantness created such stereotypically perfect characters, and for some odd reason, the fan-tards compare the people around them to the characters. No one is great at everything, charming, and drop dead gorgeous all at once. My friend asked a girl out at one point after the third book had come out, and she turned him down because he wasn't *pretty* like Edward. I took him out to the bookstore, we bought a few copies of the books, and burned them. It made him feel so much better. And the marshmallows were delicious.

Everyone all of a sudden started talking about this Twilight stuff. I didn't mind at first, but then the Twilight gossip got out of hand and started to REALLY annoy me. All everyone ever talks about is Edward. WHO REALLY CARES ABOUT THAT MORON! Everyone ..... (but not me)....... thinks Edward Cullen/Robert Patterson is sooo hot and dreamy. Robert doesn't even like younger people! Also every single girl wants to be like Bella! This is a message to all of the Twitards out there..... "WTF, how can you be obsessed with this junk! It's bad enough that my mom and sister are obsessed with Twilight, and now like every girl is obsessed with Twilight! I HATE TWILIGHT!" And you know the sad thing, they are making MORE Twikight.... YUCKKK!

I hate it when fans think Twilight is original, and anything having anything to do with vampires is a ripoff of Twilight even if the book was PUBLISHED SEVERAL YEARS BEFORE TWILIGHT.
