Ok so my birthday is this Saturday, it is my 21. The tradition at my house is this: I get to sleep as late as I want, when I wake up I get to open my presents. The be lazy all day, sometime in the late afternoon my grandparents and I go out to eat dinner. The when we come back we eat the birthday cake. Of course over the years, like now that I am older I go and pick out my own present, and the cake has gotten smaller. After my grandparents go to sleep I do something for my self. I have only been doing this since I was 13. I nearly always take an extreamly long bath/shower. Then I will do something else, a few years ago I laid outside on the porch and looked at the stars, a few years I wrote a letter to myself and put it in a sorta time capsule, that doesn't get buried. I haven't decided what I am going to do this year, but it made me curious about what other people do. If anyone does anything. So let me know, maybe I will get an idea.

Well, tomorrow is my birthday and my plan is pretty straightforward... I'm going to spend the day moving into a new place! As far as regular plans go, I am a hugely social guy and almost every birthday is spent having friends over, playing board/card/video games and having pizza followed by decadent desserts until as late in the evening as we can stay up, then usually insisting everyone stay the night because they are in no condition to drive (I lost a friend in high school to falling asleep at the wheel, so I take that very seriously).
Of course, a very good friend of mine could be having her baby any day now, and I've kind of got my fingers crossed that it will happen tomorrow mrgreen
I have to say, I'm kindof surprised that I didn't see you mention anything about Alcohol for your 21st; I'm not a huge drinker myself (as my high tolerance usually leaves little point), but I am so used to hearing that be the one plan everyone has for their 21st! My own 21st was a break in the norm of my routines, as my father flew us out to Vegas, handed me $100 and said "see what you can do with that," then took us to see Big Bad Voodoo Daddies in concert, and go straight from that show to see The Blue Man Group. You have any special plans to set this birthday apart?

To pamper myself would be to get a chef to cook for me. Wait you mean rl not fantasy...

Have you heard the saying "If you are gonna drink, you will start when you want to."? I never wanted to, and I don't intend to Saturday. Alcohol has ruined the lives of three members of my family, and effected mine drastically because of this. At my high school there were four people in car accidents because the person driving was drunk, one the girl died, she was my friend. One of my best friend's step father also took his life while he was intoxicated. With so much bad happenings around me I decided a LONG time ago that I would never drink any. It gives me great pleasure to say "I have never had a drop of alcohol in my life."
As for special plans................... I want to do something but I don't know what. It would be great to do something with my best friends but I doubt that that will happen. Any ideas?

When I was younger my family and I would go to Burger King on my birthday but now that I'm much older I usually just hit the mall, go to McDonald's for supper, and of course have some birthday ice cream cake later( ice cream cakes are better than the ones that you get at a grocery store bakery).

me mostly hanging with friends or just relaxing at home ^^ take a day or so off work so i can enjoy it ^^ only days of the year i ask off.

Of course, my birthday is on Christmas Eve! Most of the time someone is usually hanging around our home during that day. This year my husband, Horizon Dude made a dinner for two with candle light and music. He read me poems and we sloooooooooooooooooooooow danced the night away. He is very, very romantic. I just enjoy being with him and having a quite night for my birthday. heart

I like to hang out with my younger brother and his family. But curling up with a big piece of chocolate cheesecake and a good book are great too. Maybe even a nice hot bath.

Its silly, but, I'm just happy if I'm healthy, that my family, friends and pets are well and all on my birthday. Its the best gift I can ever get!
