[ Personality ]
While one couldn’t quite clarify Oscar as obsessive compulsive he is decidedly a perfectionist in some areas of his life. He is the type of boy to keep his hair carefully brushed, nails clipped never chewed, face scrubbed and clothes unwrinkled. He walks with swift carefully measured steps and speaks in sharp short sentences. Despite the effort required to look and move with seamless perfection, at least in his mind, Oscar is a generally happy child.
Oscar finds his fun in making things, taking things apart and putting them back together in his quest to understand stuff better. Not only does it satisfy his curiosity but keeps his mind and at least part of his body active which satisfies some other innate need in him.
When playing with others Oscar tends to be awkward, he believes everything should happen in certain ways but he’s not keen on fighting people to prove it. Rather than bully he tends to back away and find those who see the world the same as he does. Children who want to play the same games and abide by the same rules as he does.
Oscar and Perry have one of those strange parent child relationship where they clearly care for each and yet each thinks the other has it all wrong. Oscar thinks Perry is too calm and nonchalant about everything that isn't work related. Perry thinks Oscar needs to have more fun and act his age more often.
Oscar loves is father anyways and especially when Perry brings him home things to make or take apart. Perry enjoys watching Oscar learn and experience new things as well as having a predictable kid.
There are days when it is hard and fights and frustration but the somewhat mismatched pair make it work.
Extra: Oscar needs clockwork gear wings, idea for general look etc etc. ( maybe gears and whatnot elsewhere instead? Still debating)

[ Likes ] Trying new things, soft noises, incense, rollerskates.
[ Dislikes ] Strict schedules, his grandfather, vitamins.
[ Personality ]
The road to hell is paved with good intentions ; this is the perfect way to describe Calvin at times. He’s the boy for whom nearly every endeavor tends to lead him into danger and trouble. Helping an old lady across the street will end with him tripping, falling and taking her to the pavement with him. In these things he is trying to be good and filled with honesty but often failing for reasons he cannot comprehend.
Though not everything Calvin does is so innocent, temptation calls to Calvin like the pied piper’s tune and he is often helpless to ignore it. It’s not that he doesn’t know stealing is bad but it’s just not fair that his classmate has three lunch snacks and he only has one. Sometimes his hands and his mouth seem to move of their own accord and the boy finds himself saying and doing things he regrets later. Sometimes it’s an active choice to do the wrong thing. Guilt tends to follow eventually though regardless of which it was.
Calvin loves Perry and thinks his father is one of the smartest people in the world. He doesn’t always quite see the world the same as his father judges it but he tries hard not to contradict Perry when he disagrees. Work trips with his father are pretty awesome if you ask him and he enjoys the brief breaks from the monotony of every day life.
A fairly social child Calvin likes being around other people. He doesn’t need to be in the spotlight but he does seek acknowledgment from his peers for the things he accomplishes. He doesn’t handle criticism well and tends to sulk if he things others are looking down on him.
Overall Calvin is a fairly normal boy with a few exaggerated flaws and virtues. There is something innately good in him though that struggles against an innately easily corrupted self. Even living a normal life Calvin will face challenges most children do not.
