So I have been doing a bit of a clean out with my invo and I came across a lusty scoundrel. I thought "well there is no point in selling this its cheep". I clicked on it any way to see the average sell price was 70k. I was shocked for a moment then my next thought was "Ok its gotta be AI'ed".
Lucky for me it hasnt been. iIremember buying it for 12k and thinking it would be like momo. So all in all its became a great investment.
Ever have something turn out be worth a lot more then you expected? Got mad that you missed out on a good investment? Why is this MC worth so much now?

This MC is worth so much because many Gaians like: 1. to change their skin and 2. the Nitemare Scarf but that's over 5 mil so they're settling for the Nitemare Sash 3nodding

Yup, the Lusty Scoundrel was selling for next to nothing about 6 months ago...and then summer came and that "glistening skin" became VERY popular. The interesting thing will be to see what happens to their value over time.
I don't get mad that I missed out on any good investment. Two reasons:
1. I'm not psychic. 2. There will ALWAYS be another one, and if I spend too much energy getting mad about what I missed, I'll miss even more. Just move on.
Surprise good investments:
The June 2007 suite of MCs (Mythrill Halo, Cloud, Western Zodiac). Through a very long series of events I ended up with a small stash of them that I couldn't sell, so I just put them away and forgot about them. My, I'm rather pleased that no one would buy them back then!
Labu Necklaces. Again, I ended up with *cough* quite a lot of them. I remember when you couldn't get rid of them on the MP for 1g each and someone was working hard to try to raise the price to 10g. They're now selling in the 900-1000 range, and that is one heck of a return on investment.
This month's MCs:
They're priced high because 1. they were just released and 2. they're classics. They're simple and can be used with lots of avatars - you don't have to build a special avatar around them like you do some of the others in recent past (like the Toadstool, which is adorable, but you can't just slap on most current avis and have it look good).
Yes, I think these do have long term potential, but right now they're still a bit high. The price is dropping steadily, and I'm waiting to see what it does before making my buy decisions.

Well I still have about 4 or five infinity hats left...... I remember when they use to be 45k each and now they are at 300k each.
Sweetness!

I was also very happy with my labu necklace hoards, and heavenly drapes. I thought the labu would take years to get over the 500g mark, but I was wrong. (YAY)
The drapes are rising very fast, I bought a few for 10k each and they are already an average of about 19k. I can't wait to see their prices next year.
