Are you living somewhere that doesn't allow you to have the pet you want? Are you allergic to your favorite animal? Are you simply unable to afford the pet of your dreams right now? Share your story here!

I simply love cats, but, unfortunately, my parents hate them. My mother was bitten by a farm cat and had to get rabbi shots when she was a child, thus an age-old dislike and my father dislikes them simply because they "aren't as cuddly as a dog". Needless to say, I live in a dog-loving family, while being a cat person. sad

Most of my favourite animals are either illegal to have or just too damned expensive. I've always wanted an anaconda, but can't legally have one;I've always wanted a croc, same story;I've always wanted a great white, but, short of owning a piece of the ocean, that ain't happening;I've always wanted a scorpion and a tarantula, but they're much too expensive around here. Sucks... Oh,well;at least I have my cat.

Gah, all the pets I truly want is either rare, expensive, illegal, or too big for my apartment D': Even after I move I'm sure I wouldn't be able to own a tiger or anything like that. *le sigh* (haha) Maybe one day~

I'd like to have another hamster or some kind of rodent like that, but my mom absolutely won't let me have anymore small pets. They're too much work to take care of and she's the one that always ends up taking care of them.

I can't have pets at my apartment. Although that doesn't stop the people down the hall from having two dogs.

I really want another dog so my other one has someone to play with. Ever since our older dog, Fluffy, died in June, my dog has been seeming exceptionally lonely. And no matter how much I go out there and play with her, it's like she's still lonely. But we can't afford another dog so I'll just have to keep up with the attention.
