It has been brought to my attention that there is no real defined rule on what some classic Vampire Hunting techniques do. And with the influx in Undead, Vampire Hunters, and Werewolves it is probably long overdue to discuss how to kill and how not to kill the undead and other monsters.
Silver Bullets: nothing special except that it makes you look rich. However, you can enchant bullets like any normal weapon (flaming bullets, burning bullets, lightning bullets, etc) Guns: Guns in the Olde World are Muskets only. Meaning you have to load each barrel separately. You can however have a multi barreled musket that rotates on each shot. These are expensive, rare, and only built by Dwarves who alone have the technical knowledge on how to make them. Crosses: No religion in the Olde World uses the Crucifix as a holy object so it would do nothing. Neither do any other holy objects (unless of course enchanted) Defiling holy objects may bring the wrath of an Angel though and I am open to perhaps binding a summoning creature to a holy object. Garlic: Other than perhaps heartburn it won't do anything. Wooden Stakes: A stake to the heart technically does "kill" a Vampire, but once the stake is removed he/she will revive and be really pissed off. Same thing with shots to the head. Decapitations kill a Vampire but if the head is reunited with the body then it will heal. Same thing with any limb. The only way to kill a Vampire is to destroy the body (fire or acid) Mirrors: Vampire have reflections Glitter skin: ..... if you MUST have it then fine, but it is caused by magically altering your appearance, the effects can not be reversed and will plague your children for generations. Holy Water: It has come to my attention that there is no consensus on the effects of Holy Water so this is the most important thing right now. Some things I have heard are is that it is acid to evil creatures (Vampires, Undead, Demons, Possibly Werewolves). Also perhaps catches them on fire. Some say that it only cleanses. I had an idea where it causes the Undead victim to not be able to cast magic, or at least weaken their magical abilities (including healing in vampires and holding together the body of a liche or reverant) So, what do you think?

I see holy water being able to do that but then again wouldn't it work on demons then as well? As for werewolves what would it do? They are really mostly animalistic type humans not really undead or anythign like that although I guess if they are cursed that works out.
I have to add in who in the world would want to have sparkly skin? It plagues your children don't do it!
Alright with that said back to the debate. I like the idea that it weakens thier magical powers some or slows them down a bit.

Well I already have a precedent that It lights on fire when in contact with the undead or unholy things.

What makes a Vamp evil? Because some Vampires have guidelines they fallow so they won't have to commit murder or destroy the lives of others.

Evil? that really doesn't come into it. If your undead the tools of undead killing should hurt.

mmm, I think it has something of basically selling your humanity for eternal life. Having the urge to feast on people.... I dunno, they are monsters and that is good enough for me! razz lol

I understand. Just wanted to know if a good Vampire would still be effected by Holy objects.

Jakle James What makes a Vamp evil? Because some Vampires have guidelines they fallow so they won't have to commit murder or destroy the lives of others. The thing that makes vampires evil is because they suck blood and the normal reason they go after human blood specifically because they view it as no big deal, due to facts that human blood is like a favourite type of cigar to vampires or that they are now two totally different people, well now anyways with a considerable life span difference or that vampires originate from dark methods (Face it how do you think the first vampire came ta be) which corrupts a persons mind or that just like in warhammer soon as they become more vampire they become more feral beings. Quote: I understand. Just wanted to know if a good Vampire would still be effected by Holy objects But yes Holy objects effect vampires, basically the reason why something like a wooden cross is harmful is because it somehow transfers the holy lord's essence through the symbol or enhances faith strongly in order to push back the evil. Quote: well my undead guy is "good" and I plan on having him burn. Nonetheless, all undead is the same to the eyes of divine beings unless they revived the undead themselves. It goes against nature and balance to them and normally also because they are sustained by magic which ruins people's faith in their religion or that magic is normally something chaotic to the religious people. So all anti-undead holy weapons probably wouldn't work out for ya in the end anyways. But that's just to note. But anyways only just thought up of something thanks to Captain Karak is that silver bullets should probably have property. They're meant to be extremely rare due to the fact that silver is a precious metal and few people bother to make these (Face it, in the horror films, especially Werewolves there is nearly always only handed to the hero one or two silver bullets which he can't waste). So maybe with the fact that they are rare, they might as well have a property or atleast mentioned that someones carrying a gold mine in their pockets when they have only three on them lol

Um, you did read that crucifixes have no effect on Vampires in this RP right?
Hmm, good point about the silver bullets. But wouldn't enchanting bullets work basically the same? Perhaps you could only enchant those made precious materials like silver or gold?

Oh right, wasn't being clear again, I was trying to explain why people believed holy objects affected vampires, oops again for being unclear sweatdrop but yeah I perfectly understand.
Yeah, or maybe an add on effect, such as enchanted 'silver' bullets are twice as effective, for example there is no stopping a enchanted silver bullet coming at ya, no matter what spells or sorcery. Basically that fact that they are that far more extremely rare, makes them more extremely effective.

I prefer blessed bullets being the common load against unholy stuff with the silver being the mid level ammo, and Blessed silver being the be all end all.
